American English

Some time ago you asked me to help copyedit Emmeline Pankhurst into British English. Well.... I have Otto Julius Zobel at FA review here. One of the comments has been that the article ought to be in American English. I am given to understand that you know this language. Do you think you could find the time to do a copyedit on it? Peer review

I found your name on a list of users willing to copy edit articles. I would appreciate it if you could comment on the one I wrote about hip-hop dance. It is currently listed for peer review here. Part of your user page is a shrine to all the articles you've helped obtain GA/FA status. Perhaps you can add a GA/FA template for the hip-hop dance page in the future. Be forewarned that this is a long article. Not including refs/external links, templates, and categories it's seven pages printed and around 50KB. If you accept my invitation to review you may want to print it first and make your edits that way. I personally found it easier to read and to correct when I did this myself. Perhaps you would like this better as well since you're a fan of using red ink ;-).

If seven pages is too long for you I also have another article, Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo, up for review here. This article is much shorter, only two pages long (prose only). I was going to originally invite you to copy edit this one but I saw that you were a fan of hip-hop culture and decided to solicit feedback for the dance article instead. It's your choice. Balzac and His Atrocious Arabic

I just wanted to make sure that this gets to you - as when I initially read it was intrigued (read it incompletely) and responded without examining the date. Balzac's French rendering of that Arabic passage is incorrect, at least in large part because the grammar and spelling of the Arabic is not tenable. I gave my translation in response to your original question (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Writing_systems#The_mystery_of_the_writing_that_is_not_Sanskrit) and then again in the article for that particular book. Essentially, a few of the words seem very oddly not present in dictionaries (or standard grammar - istisnezal (or something like that) cannot be a word...). So either the Arabic was written incorrectly from the French, or the French was incorrectly translated from improper Arabic. Either way I think it's pretty interesting. Are there any further details in the book? (The context/questions preceding my translation are dumb as I misread the context for the Arabic until well after I posted).
