Simple Syntax for Defining Semantic Relationships
[edit]If online resources such as Google or Wikipedia could be made to understand semantic relationships, they would come much closer to true artificial intelligence.
Here's a simple syntax that can be used to define semantic relations:
s: root concept == related concept
s: root === related === related
Where s: = semantic relationship to be defined; root concept = the concept to be defined; related concept = the semantically related concept.
For some reason, I prefer having the number of equals signs between each atom equal the number of relations to be defined; however, I recognize that s: root = related = related = related works just as well. Examples:
s: fire = burn = pain = red
s: rose = love = "Romeo & Juliet"
Of course, the person defining the semantic relations has to be trusted; otherwise, some nefarious person could define bogus relations.
