Moscow Metro edit war
[edit]I want to let you know that I announced the edit war between you and Elk about the L1/12 line designation in Moscow Metro at the village pump and that a message was written on the talk page. Georgia guy 19:18, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- The poll had only 4 votes up to that moment. However, I put it on to make sure other Wikipedians are aware of the edit war. Georgia guy 19:47, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

* L does not stand for "light rail" but, somewhat confusingly, for "Light Metro" — metro lines that are elevated and do not need expensive tunelling (therefore being financially "light"). However, they use the same gauge and rolling stock as "normal" metro lines. |

License tagging for Image:KazanRailTerminalWest.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:KazanRailTerminalWest.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
HTML comment in Moscow Metro
[edit]I see you wrote at Moscow Metro an HTML comment asking Elk to stop. Please note that HTML comments are supposed to be worded for the general editor, not for an individual. Georgia guy 22:17, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's just that me (at least) running out of ways to talk to an individual who is so obviously ignoring the general. But ur right of course — discussion should be kept to the talk page, even if ignored by an individual ;)--Sascha. 22:29, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Three-Revert Rule
[edit]Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in Moscow Metro. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. -- joturner 00:10, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Request for Mediation for Moscow Metro
[edit]A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Moscow Metro, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible.-- joturner 05:25, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Federation Tower
[edit]You left this comment on the Federation Tower page: "rv that's the idea"
What's the idea? --XAKxRUSx 01:07, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- The idea is to illustrate construction progress, i.e. new pics should be added and not old ones removed. (Also note that it is customary to sign your posts) --Sascha. 09:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- My fault, I forgot to put the "~". >_< Yes, new, current pics should be added, and the old ones should be removed. But right now, the most recent one is from September... which isn't current.--XAKxRUSx 01:07, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- New pics could (and should) be added when someone makes them, that's for sure, but the old ones should stay too to illustrate the progress of an ongoing construction. When the building is "open for business" the photos could be parked in some "Construction history" article but as for now they don't seem out of place to me. --Sascha. 06:06, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Sascha.. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Sascha.~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
Community Liaison, Wikimedia Foundation

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
