I think it would be a good idea to request mediation between you and Mahawiki. Thanks. Mar de Sin Talk to me! 18:28, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Underconstruction tag

[edit]

I think if you leave {{underconstruction}} on too long without making any modifications, the tag loses its meaning. Therefore, I generally remove the tag if the article has not been edited for a week. While this is not official policy or even (yet) a consensus, I do think that it is necessary for the tag to not become meaningless. --Nlu (talk) 15:36, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Signature

I am new to Wikipedia. Can you tell me how to change my signature ? Mayur Lal 12:30, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hasting tagging of Seuna page

[edit]

Sarvagnya, looks like our friend is back to tagging. He tagged the Seuna page without reading on history first. I have untagged it. Looks like its history time!!!

Signature

[edit]

I tried to get my "signature" right for easier discussion as you mentioned, but somehow I am not doing it right. How exactly do you get your signature to appear? Of course using the four ~ helps. "Nanagenu Tondaray Illa. "Suena" vishaya chennagi odukondu tyyaragidheney". Dineshkannambadi 18:26, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ponna

[edit]

I viewed it and still shows the Italian graph thing. May be I should log out and log back in. That helps at times. Also, when I created the page for Ponna I did as "Sri Ponna" as thats the name that was used by my sources and hence did not have a problem.

Thanks Dineshkannambadi 18:46, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Mahawiki

[edit]

I am sorry but I am not an admin and cannot help you too much. I will review your case soon, but it's best to talk to an administrator, especially someone suitable as a moderator. Thanks. Mar de Sin Talk to me! 21:50, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to your message regarding above user: LInks, etc.

I shall study the contents, and if I find that WP:CIVIL has been broken, I will take necessary action. Please be assured that I may take some time, but I will ensure as an administrator that suitable action is initiated. --Bhadani 21:54, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Received your message also. It looks like Bhadani is on the case. -- Samir धर्म 00:43, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Civility

[edit]

Hi Sarvagnya, I have noticed that you have posted complaints regarding User:Mahawiki to many administrators. I do not approve of some of the language that User:Mahawiki has used. However, I believe that there is much that you could do to cool down the atmosphere. For example, after Mahawiki posted this comment suggesting to another user to use calm language, you responded with an accusation (in edit summary) that Mahawiki was trolling. I think you could be more careful in avoiding unnecessary accusations. Sincerely, BostonMA 22:50, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Boston,

In the links you gave me, [1] and [2], please observe carefully. What I described as trolling was not Mahawiki's request to Tipu to calm down. If you observe carefully, in his clever request he has slipped in blatantly inflammatory troll that Karnataka is torturing minorities etc.,. That is what I referred to as trolling. Sarvagnya 23:04, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am sorry, I misread it. In my mind, I read it as "I do not know of torture etc. Thank you for pointing this out. --BostonMA 23:06, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Sarvagnya, I see that you have sent user talk space messages to many Indian administrators. Spamming talk pages is not a proper way to do it. You can report problems you have with other editors on WP:ANI page, which will be read by a wider audience. Regards, --Nearly Headless Nick 10:33, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I do the ~ so as to leave a time stamp and its also another way to leave behind my signature. Now that my email has been authenticated, does that mean my user name will automatically appear with my messages or do i have to do a User:.... eveytime I send a message? Alo I put my name at the bottom more by reflex. It also halps to seperate two messages in case of prolonged discussions. Forget my question. I see that my signature appeared in my previous message yesterday.

You and Mahawiki

[edit]

Hi! I am a Mumbaikar currently in Bangalore. I had a look at Mahawiki's edits and I agree his use of terms like "Kannadi vandals" is strongly deplorable. Also, some of his edits are not right. I would request you not to loose your cool and not to reply in the same tone. I had a look at Mahawiki's message User talk:Bhadani and found that you've also fueled the war by making use of phrases like Chatripati Shivaji (though I agree major trouble has been created by Mahawiki, and not you). I guess Bhadaniji is actively dealing with this issue, but anyway I've left a message on Mahawiki's talk page and would love to be a peacebroker here. We've already got a lot of trouble due to regionalism in our country, let's not make a Wikipedia a place to fight things out. :) utcursch | talk 14:01, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your msg. on my talkpage

[edit]

Hi, unfortunately, I am very busy and not in a position to look into the matter. Pl. try WP:ANI. You may want to condense the message when you place it there. All the best, --Gurubrahma 14:49, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki-light

[edit]

I thank you for your message. However, I would request you to resolve the issued yourselves. Once you do it, you shall find a new wiki-light enveloping your wiki-life. However, in case, you fail to resolve the issues, please take up the same at a better and the proper place. Regards and all the best!. --Bhadani 17:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
