Thank you.

The article Hispanic Scientist of the Year Award has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 23:11, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Jane Walker Burleson

[edit]

Hi, I'm Sulfurboy. Sarah Wray, thanks for creating Jane Walker Burleson!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. 3

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Sulfurboy (talk) 01:21, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Print culture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page King James (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Dr. Maria Chavez-Hernandez.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Dr. Maria Chavez-Hernandez.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:09, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

sources for Bawa Jain?

[edit]

Hi -- thanks for creating the Wikipedia article for Bawa Jain! Several of the claims in the article are cited to "A Talk with Honors College Students" at the University of South Florida, and that's unfortunately not going to stand as a reliable source. Was a report of talk published anywhere, like in a student newspaper? If so, that report could be cited. In the meantime, I'm going to have to remove any of the claims that were cited to the talk -- they can certainly be restored later if a reliable source can be found. Thanks :-) —Tim Pierce (talk) 14:24, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Bawa Jain has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Liz Read!
