A tag has been placed on Russian Linesman (Musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 86.20.193.222 (talk) 17:09, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Russian Linesman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://soundcloud.com/lokirecordings/03-olympiapark. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Thanks for message. You asked me to restore your page, but you seem to have created multiple copies, and there should only be one version of any topic. You had a draft on this page, which is just for messages to you, so removed, and also a copy in draft space.

Please read the following carefully

Your editing pattern suggests that you may have a conflict of interest, if so you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for him or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the person or organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sarah76. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sarah76|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Also read the following regarding writing an article

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the him or an associated company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. I've removed some of your refs either because they weren't suitable, or because I've removed the text too
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Your version was full of your opinions, him talking about himself, and sales language, some examples being somewhat cult figure... who deeply values his chosen form of expression as art inspired by his physical and emotional travels through life... wonderfully eclectic. You list people he has "crossed paths with", but meeting or working with notable people doesn't make him notable. The list of other people who have been similarly "honoured" by appearing on the show is just plain irrelevant.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. At least one of your paragraphs was copied verbatim from a site marked © 2013-2017 – The Missing Sync., clearly not public domain

It's possible that he might meet our notability criteria, so I've cleaned up the text instead of deleting the draft too, and added the page to my watch list. If you don't understand any of my changes, then ask; don't restore the material or links I've removed.

When you are ready, you can move (don't copy-paste) the draft back to article space.

Before attempting to write another article, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:07, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This looks great, it was my first article so thanks for your help. I am just a fan and not being paid, not sure about COIs and stuff. Is the page ready to go live? Sarah76 (talk) 21:25, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comment above. Note that it's just chance I saw the message. If you want me to see a comment, either post on my talk page. You can alternatively leave a message on this page, and I will know you have done so if you start it with my user name, User:Jimfbleak and sign it with four tildes ~~~~ when you post it. That will send me an alert.
You might as well move it to article space now, I can't see much significant to fix. Note that the article might still be challenged on notability grounds, but you can worry about that if it happens. It's factual and referenced now, so you should be OK Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:45, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You should see a "move" tab somewhere on your screen, maybe under "More". Click that, and it will give you a drop-down range of destinations, choose the one beginning (article) and click "move page" Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:54, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
