A tag has been placed on IEEE GRSS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.   jj137 (Talk) 22:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The tag you placedon thearticle listed it for immediate deletion, which is probably not what you intended. ((if it was, place a tag reading {{db-self}} at the top.)

What you need to do for the article is to find sources. Start with his web page at the university. Add references to 3rd party sources for his awards. List his most cited papers. And make sure hat nothing in the article is copied from a press release or previous publication.

But, if you are the person or his representative, or a pressagent for the university, please see [[WP:COI] and <https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Terms_of_Use> (and our <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Terms_of_use/FAQ_on_paid_contributions_without_disclosure>) . Wikipedia very strongly discourage autobiographies. However, because of his named chair at Michigan, he does meet WP:PROF. But you must immediately fix up the article.
