Masters of the Universe: Revelation Page Move

Hey, so, I was wondering if you knew how to move the Masters of the Universe: Revelation page from draft space to main page. You were the last person, besides me, that edited the article. So, can you help me out? FilmLover72 (Talk) 8:30 3 January 2021 (UTC)

FilmLover72, I do not undelete articles, sorry. Sandstein 12:30, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

So were you including the sockpuppet's opinion in the A. E. London Delete decision?

According tp https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Pmand, that account was a sockpuppet and has been blocked indefinitely. The only other 'delete' comment after the article was re-listed was from an editor who is mostly retired and, I suspect, was specifically recruited to the discussion for that purpose. I personally resisted the urge to recruit friends who are also long-established editors to express opinions in concert with mine as I understand that to be against community expectations. I mentioned the nomination for deletion on my facebook, but mostly the result was expressions of renewed revulsion at how much Wikipedia sucks (not my opinion- theirs) rather than any desire by people to engage with it. Is there any minimum expectation level of engagement by real people with a discussion like this in order to show consensus? Netmouse (talk) 04:37, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Netmouse, please link to the discussion at issue. Sandstein 10:14, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Sorry, I'm not sure the best way to link to it so here's the whole url: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/A._E._London Netmouse (talk) 19:57, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
Like this: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A. E. London. Netmouse, in this discussion, everybody but you was in favor of deletion. Irrespective what one may think of individual opinions, in the end there's no other way I could close this discussion. Sandstein 22:19, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Recreating The House of Fine Art

It appears that the effort to remove this page was successfully led by you. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_House_of_Fine_Art

This was in 2018.

Since then the gallery has grown in notoriety (which was the main reason for deletion then), as can be seen from the collections made available by the gallery owners here: https://thehouseoffineart.com/press/

I am thinking of writing fresh content based on the same subject matter, but this time, focusing on the publicly verifiable pieces of available data.

I would love to keep you abreast of the progress made as I start working on a fresh copy next week. Thanks!

Please review

I apologise if i had made any bad edits. Please i request you to restore my Article Asif Tariq Bhat that's deleted by you. Please help me out. HamidAzhar (talk) 19:11, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

No, because at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Asif Tariq Bhat editors decided to delete that article. Sandstein 19:47, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Close the Dream AFD (please)

So, you relisted the Dream AFD because there weren't that many good comments. All the new comments aren't anything better. Most keeps are coming from IPs (maybe WP:CANVASSING) and stuff that's already been said, and deletes are getting off track. I'd suggest just weighing the facts that are present and making a decision. I can't because I've participated. Le Panini [🥪] 02:09, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Le Panini, please link to the AfD. Sandstein 07:24, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
It’s Dream (YouTuber), but I'd let it run for the 4 additional days of the re-list. — ImaginesTigers (talk) 14:46, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
ImaginesTigers, thanks! Le Panini, I agree that many of the new comments aren't much more helpful, but I'd still let it run until the end of the second week. Who knows, maybe some insightful source analysis will still turn up. Sandstein 14:57, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
I decided to do just that. Too much time to kill... — ImaginesTigers (talk) 17:01, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
Also hi, Panini. I'm not stalking you (I met Sandstein elsewhere)! — ImaginesTigers (talk) 14:51, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Think it could use a close now. — ImaginesTigers (talk) 11:31, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

CLCStudent, already done. Sandstein 13:00, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

Mohana

I am posting this note as you had closed the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mohana and deleted it. Please see my request at Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Mohana. Although I was not able to participate in the AfD, I hope you will agree with my justification and restore the page history. Regards. Walrus Ji (talk) 12:04, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Walrus Ji, the deleted article will not help you because it is a few sentences long and has no sources. You should write a proper artiucle from scratch based on sources. Sandstein 12:12, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Sandstein, Ok will start afresh. I am assuming you also checked the page history for older versions and not just the final version that was deleted. Walrus Ji (talk) 12:14, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Walrus Ji, all versions are unsourced and brief, as far as I can tell. Sandstein 12:18, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Sandstein, Thanks for checking. Walrus Ji (talk) 12:23, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Please help sir

A friend of mine suggested me to create an article about a poet and author Asif Tariq Bhat but it seems that there is something going on about the same subject. I would request you please grant me permission to create the article of the said subject I have collected some strong references. I will be thankful for your help. Sardar Nadir Ali (talk) 17:55, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Sardar Nadir Ali, you need to convince the admin who protected the article with these references. Sandstein 18:01, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Sir can you please help me with that. I am new here on wikipedia I don't know the rules properly. I would be thankful for your help. Sardar Nadir Ali (talk) 18:05, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Sardar Nadir Ali, then please read the rules. See WP:5P and in your case particularly WP:GNG. Without knowing these rules, you will not be able to write a useful article. Sandstein 18:45, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Fore!

Since you contributed to the AfD discussion, check this out now. It took some time, but it's getting there. Now the redirects have to be rooted out and placed on the talk page list as well! North America1000 07:22, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Bartlett

hey, &&^%$)#  ! What did you do with the article on Bartlett, and why ? Bartlett is WAY more notable than half the garbage on some stupid pop band that this place is filled with; people lived there and it is part of the history of that side of California.

DYK for Mark C. Yerger

On 24 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mark C. Yerger, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the American writer Mark C. Yerger was honored by the veterans' organization of the Waffen-SS for his works that embellished its history? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mark C. Yerger. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mark C. Yerger), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Atop-Abot

Hi! I think the tags need to start higher and go lower on the discussion you closed on ANI :-) It seems only the proposal.got closed but not the associated sections. Thanks! Vikram Vincent 05:40, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Vincentvikram, do you mean WP:ANI#Discussion? See my reply there. Sandstein 08:13, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Piumi Hansamali article

Hi.. It is regarding the article you deleted by speedy deletion process. However, I can assure that the actress is notable in my country and South Asia, specially in Malayalam and Sinhala film industry. Already she has done one film and in the future there are two films contracted. Also, she received international recognition through several modeling contests. She is currently making few reliable newspaper articles as well. Also, they tagged the deletion by stating that, it is the same text with previously deleted article. But that is not true. I really made in my own. As I have made several Sri Lankan celebrity articles, this is also an important and notable article. so please consider about the deletion and I hope that you may able to restore that deleted page. Thank You.... Gihan Jayaweera 10:00, 27 January 2021 (UTC

Hi, please link to the article or deletion discussion. Sandstein 07:21, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Regarding this recent AfD, I note your requirement to explicitly rebut such bludgeoning which was quite false. This will make AfD more prolix but so it goes. Anyway, I was keeping an eye on developments and the main thing I noticed was that an editor was steadily improving the article during the discussion. I was expecting them to comment in the discussion but they did not do so. Perhaps the close interrupted their work before they could finish? Please could you userfy the article so that I can follow this up. Andrew🐉(talk) 11:28, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Andrew Davidson, sorry, I do not undelete articles, but you can ask at WP:REFUND. Sandstein 11:43, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

AfD issue

Hi. Could you look at revisiting the Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Justicialist_Front deletions? I find the AfD problematic, since it groups together various disparate articles which probably would have benefitted from individual discussions. For example, one article I created, concerned a group which had parliamentary representation (with reference) and should by no means have been deleted. I note that the nominator Yilku1 did not bother to notify any of the article creators of the AfD. --Soman (talk) 23:29, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Soman, I understand your concerns well, but since the discussion was unanimous I don't see how I could have closed it otherwise. Our deletion process doesn't require notification, so it's up to each of us to keep the articles we created on our watchlist. Sorry. Sandstein 15:40, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
