Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Lourdes 09:10, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am an avid user of wikipedia and a San Jose Highrise enthusiast and have been for many years I have new buildings that I would like to add to the List of San Jose Highrise buildings as I had done in the past, I understand that my website is a building and condos website but my blogs have been informative and helpful for the entire community. Its not often new highrise buildings come up in San Jose but when they do I like to keep my blog readers informed of the heights and expected use of the buildings. I would like to continue to update the page with new towers.

Decline reason:

We don't get to link to our blogs on Wikipedia, period. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 20:31, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Per WP:CORPNAME "Because Wikipedia's policy is that usernames should not be shared between more than one individual, the following types of usernames are not permitted because they imply shared use:

  • Usernames that are simply names of companies or groups are not permitted (these also fall under Promotional names).
  • Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted.
  • Usernames that are names of posts within organizations, such as "Secretary of the XY Foundation", are not permitted, as such a post may be held by different persons at different times.
  • However, usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc."

Due to your WP:conflict of interest and the promotional nature of your edits, you will not be unblocked to edit about this subject in the short term. Please describe what non promotional edits you would make about a subject you do not have a connection to. Wikipedia is not here to inform your blog readers. Please adjust your open unblock request accordingly. Thanks. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:06, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused, the block log indicates this is a soft block, but a hard block message is displayed above. Lourdes which did you intend? 331dot (talk) 20:19, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now I'm confused. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:32, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lourdes is no longer among us . . . . -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:33, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ach, so! Looks promo editing to me. YMMV. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:36, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
