Hawila

[edit]

The page you say you took that from doesn't even exist. Ogress 23:43, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawiya Samirlalas (talk) 23:44, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The page does not provide the evidence you claim. The cites do not involve the Bible; that's just jammed into the text as "(vgl. Genesis 25:18 Havilah)" Ogress 23:53, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is legitimate and was written 2 years ago. There was more clarifying sources added regarding the ancient Arabian Cushites. Did you read the sources? Samirlalas (talk) 23:56, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
~I read the sources, and they do not say "Hawiye" could be an abbreviation of Havilah. A Somali clan who inhabit southern and central Somalia." there is no reliable source. now you are engaging directly in an edit war. Ogress 03:21, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I linked the source the etymology of Hawiye https://medium.com/@somaliprodigy/etymology-of-the-hawiye-80d8f92cef1b Samirlalas (talk) 13:44, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Medium is not a reliable source, and the article in question accepts race science as valid. Ogress 18:34, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rauso vandalism

[edit]

Information iconPlease do not attack other editors, as you did on multiple articles. You have been vandalising multiple articles with WP:OR and WP:SYNTH , your sources that you cite do not mention Rauso at all relating to the Ogaden but assumptions. I will be taking appropriate measures by bringing in moderators to deal with this issue. Edit warring is not a solution. Replayerr (talk) 11:39, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bro come on. Ponder this. Rauso was a district deep in the Ogaden near Raaso. This source explicitly calls the inhabitants of Rauso Somalis. Page 52-53

You once said Asaita in Djibouti is where historic Aucagurel was located remember? That’s not original research but this is? https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:828/format:webp/1*n0_gQWshnxX8-mNPZz_fLw.jpeg Samirlalas (talk) 14:14, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Auçagurel is the European transliteration of Aussa Gurelle, which refers to Asaita(historical Aussa).
Refer to both Paulitschke [1], Huntingford and Pankhurst at page 381 [2]mentioning the etymology of the name. A European map cannot be used as evidence.
The difference between me and you, is that I do not commit WP:OR(original research) and quote exactly what the sources say without assumptions. I do not ponder because that ruins the authenticity of the article, Rauso has nothing to do with the Ogaden with some sources even stating that it may be in the Danakil Desert. [3] Replayerr (talk) 17:37, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why remove everything else? Ogaden borders Djibouti and Kenya Samirlalas (talk) 17:53, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The source you provided mentioned the nations of Djibouti and Somalia . It does not mention the Ogaden which is internationally considered apart of Ethiopia. This is WP:OR. It is also a fringe source. Replayerr (talk) 17:41, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Vincent source clearly shows where it is located, inland from Barbaria it even says Adal. Somalia and Adal INLANDS is good enough
https://books.google.com/books?id=fRBFAQAAMAAJ&q=rauso%20Barbaria%20adel#v=snippet&q=rauso%20Barbaria%20adel Samirlalas (talk) 17:53, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is not good enough whatsoever as there is no explicit mention of the Ogaden region. "Inland" could refer to multiple things such as Awdal or Sool. Your speculation is considered original research and is not allowed in Wikipedia. I will be reverting everything that counts as WP:OR and then bring in moderators if this issue is not solved. If you want to include sources on Rauso, go back to Rauso. Replayerr (talk) 17:57, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s good enough. Trust me. Ogaden borders Kenya and Djibouti not just Somalia Samirlalas (talk) 18:01, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Stop asking me to "trust you". The sources you have shown do not mention the Ogaden at all. Replayerr (talk) 18:12, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Don’t remove all the edits atleast. Ogaden borders Kenya and Djibouti not just Somalia. The Ogaden is bigger than the whole UK size wise Samirlalas (talk) 18:10, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care. You should leave the Ogaden article alone. Replayerr (talk) 18:13, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s not OR still. Check the map for Kingdom of Aksum article. 148.252.144.181 (talk) 18:19, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Check the map @Replayerr Kingdom of Aksum Samirlalas (talk) 18:32, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have checked the crudely-drawn map and there is no mention of Rauso nor the Ogaden, your point? Replayerr (talk) 18:45, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Check the map properly please. Try find SASU and Solate. Then read this[1] from 323-328 Samirlalas (talk) 18:50, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This does not mention the Ogaden at all. I will be discussing with the admins to deal with this edit warring. Replayerr (talk) 18:52, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you comprehend what I’m saying? Check the Aksum map again and look for SASU and SOLATE and then read the source Samirlalas (talk) 18:55, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can't use a map as a citation. In Wikipedia, we stick with secondary sources. [4] Replayerr (talk) 19:02, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the citation from pages 323-328[2] Samirlalas (talk) 19:07, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you using a sockpuppet? Do you not know the rule against this?
