Bored of the place, or busy?

Hey Samir. You don't seem to be around here much nowadays and I just thought I'd pop by and wish you well. I hope you'll be on here more - your contributions were much valued, especially the amount of work you put into DYK. violet/riga (t) 19:55, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Hello good Doctor! Nice to see your name pop up on my watchlist. Hope all is well with you. :) Sarah 04:24, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hear, hear :) Always glad to see you editing. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 23:28, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, do you ever get info from the CCFA?

The reason I ask is the past magazine has a lot of new information about Crohn's and the genetic connection. I am still reading, I am slow, but I think you will find the information very informative and interesting. If you don't get the magazine you can still locate the information on [1]. I don't have the time right now do to real life but have hopes to be able to be active on this article after the end of this month or so. I hope you are well. I don't know if you remember me, but you were one of the first to welcome me here to Wikipedia and show me where the Crohn's article was! --CrohnieGalTalk 11:14, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK: Portal hypertensive gastropathy

Updated DYK query On 16 August, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Portal hypertensive gastropathy, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

The article looks great. How are you?--Dwaipayan (talk) 19:49, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please look into this article? A persistent vandal continues to add court litigation that is not particularly notable. I have warned him in my edit summaries but he is still doing it. Fighting for Justice 06:02, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CSD

Hi Samir, it looks like you accidentally recreated Sudam Hussein, I've retagged it for speedy. Thanks! Eliz81(talk)(contribs) 06:02, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Education

Everybody should get some education from viewing Wikipedia, even the penis vandals. Of course from now on I must make sure that everything I type is spelt correctly. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 06:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response. Yes, it is very frustrating. It bothers me that this makes it look like a FINAL WARNING doesn't mean anything. If they do vandalize again, and nobody catches it again, do we just stick another final warning on the account? Even a 4 hour block would at least show that we mean what we say, while having minimal impact on the useful contributors at that IP. Still, I appreciate that AIV is only for active vandalization. I've entered an abuse report to try to take the long way around. I'm hoping that's the apropriate place for this issue. --Mdwyer 06:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. I'm thinking within the next month or so I may try out in a second attempt. I'm gonna check back some of the policies before so I don't mess up.--JForget 00:55, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heyy...

Either I'm too slow on the uptake or my watchlist is too small :p Nice to see you on it, though! ~ Riana 13:29, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My 3RR report by NCdave

Hi Samir. You reviewed the 3RR report by User:NCdave against me. On my talk page you declined to issue me a warning, but the report at WP:AN3 still lists the result as "warning". Any chance you could remedy this (presumed) oversight?

Full disclosure: I am currently participating in a discussion regarding a proposed topic ban for User:NCdave over at WP:CSN, and I'm using the fact that he reported me for a 3RR violation despite the fact that I'd self reverted as evidence of his ridiculous behavior. So that's when I noticed the discrepancy between the stated and actual outcomes of the report. Correcting that discrepancy would make my argument stronger.

Anyways, regardless of the circumstances, I feel this should be corrected. My record is pretty clean, I'd like to keep it that way, and erroneous statements that I've been warned don't help. But I understand if you don't want to get more involved with this Milloy mess than you already are. Cheers. Yilloslime 17:35, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, will fix -- Samir 02:53, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

White People

As far as I was aware the AFD attempt I made failed and it just showed me the previous one. I can't see how this is an encyclopedian article. Thanks for getting in touch.AlanD 22:38, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note on something you may find interesting, I was contacted recently by someone to say that the image we made for coeliac disease will be featured in a television show this fall in the US. ;) Also while I'm here, thanks as well for your discussion comments on my RfA.WikipedianProlific(Talk) 10:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question

How did you know I am the Casual Convo guy?

Then why did you delete the 'casual convo' page I made?

Do you like my new page i just made? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kush2 (talkcontribs) 04:55, August 30, 2007 (UTC) From user:Kush2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kush2 (talkcontribs) 04:47, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Boerboel

I'm not sure if you remember dealing with this, but you were the last admin to work on the ongoing issues with Frikkers (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) and the Boerboel article. This last time, you wisely protected the page to force a conversation, a conversation that Frikkers did not engage in despite my attempts to do so both on the article and his user talk. Today, now that the block has expired, he has begun reverting again. I am once again at a loss. Should I take this back to ANI or just wait for his next inevitable violation of the 3RR rule? This is just getting sad. VanTucky (talk) 00:02, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea. About the checkuser, don't I have to have pretty substantial evidence for that? I'm pretty unfamiliar with the process. VanTucky (talk) 04:58, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
