Hi, I closed the discussion as a keep because that seemed like an obvious result from the discussion. In your message you state there are articles "where no assertion of notability is contained within the article other than the inherited of title Baronet". That on itself might not be a claim to notability, but since it most likely would lead to a person being included in reliable published sources, it would in those cases meet the general notability guidelines. And the discussion in this particular case would seem to back that up. I'm not going to make any comment on related articles, simply because I'm not really interested in the issue. Sorry. - Bobet 15:29, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I stated, there are some there which are more likely than others, but none are conclusive. Unfortunately, sock cases are like that-sometimes there's some well-founded suspicion but no clinching proof. In cases like that, it's often best to request a checkuser-the data on the accounts is probably off the server now, but if you notice the same pattern in the future, I'd certainly advise taking it there. True, but it's not against any rules to edit anonymously sometimes, or forget to log in, and I can't see the IP addresses of the other accounts-only a checkuser can do that. Many of the accounts are well-established users with quite a few edits, who just happened to comment on some of the same AfD's and share some similar interests. The IPs, at least some of those likely are, but I couldn't find any instances of the IP being used to agree with the account, votestack, or get used in any other prohibited way. The user accounts-I just don't see enough similarity in typing patterns or interests to clearly identify as a sock. New Identity is someone's sock, but even if that one is El Chulito's, it was only used to file an ANI report, not to "agree with himself" or the like. Sorry you're unhappy, but I can't go and block anyone without being sure that accounts are connected and abuse has occurred, and in this case, I'm really not. I recall someone advocating taking it to checkuser, for exactly that reason. :) But glad it all got sorted. Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:31, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
