A tag has been placed on User:Samarth Agrawal IITK/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello Samarth Agrawal IITK. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to User:Samarth Agrawal IITK/sandbox, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Samarth Agrawal IITK. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Samarth Agrawal IITK|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Kleuske (talk) 21:45, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alexf,
The account geetika was not working and the person working on it, stopped working. But entrepreneurship cell is a body that should be known to the people due to the impact it has to the indian economy. Sir, it is pivot for the organisation to receive the recognition it deserves and people know of it.

Request reason:

Your reason here The account geetika was not active and the person working on it, stopped working. But entrepreneurship cell, IIT Kanpur is a NGO, student-led body that should be known to the people due to the impact it has to the indian economy. Sir, it is pivotal for the organisation to receive the recognition it deserves and people know of it. Samarth Agrawal IITK (talk) 08:10, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Then you need to get on social media or create a website for your organization or get interviewed by newspapers so the world knows about it- that's not what Wikipedia is for. Wikipedia does not lead in terms of coverage, it follows- your organization must already be known and recognized before it merits a Wikipedia article. Wikipedia does not confer recognition on a topic. If the operator of the Geetikag0411 account is no longer associated with the organization, that's unfortunate for you, but even if that were resolved, you won't be permitted to further promote your organizaton here. 331dot (talk) 09:28, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Your reason here Entrepreneurship Cell is very much popular and known as one of the best entrepreneurial institutions and it has a footfall of 5 Lakh website visits "https://www.ecelliitk.org/" , and immense following of 140k follower on Facebook and 10k plus on Linkedin. Apart from this E-Cell, IIT Kanpur shares a direct network of 1 Lakh entrepreneurs, VC's and investors. Apart from this, the main incentive for creating this page isn't publicity but a outlook for an unknown eye. It affects a large audience of budding innovators and entrepreneurs by the means of the events it organises : Youth Entrepreneurship Cell (YEC), UpStart, E-Summit, TedX, Business Conclave, Hult Prize

Decline reason:

None of this is relevant. You won't be unblocked to do this. Yamla (talk) 11:22, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a directory, so an organization is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of an organization, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the organization must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what an organization wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. {unblock | reason=Your reason here Sir, Entrepreneurship cell, IIT Kanpur is an NGO body running events affecting the country at large placing IIT Kanpur first in the NIRF ranking for INNOVATION, apart from this Wikipedia has recognized different Entrepreneurship cells of Different IITs I really don't understand the difference or the basis given. We attract a traffic of more than 1 lakh startups and investors. Apart from this, Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kanpur also extends a fraction of the GDP of India by the means of the 500+ Startups by IITK alumni and 20+ Unicorns itself from IITK founders. But still, Wikipedia fails to recognize the same. Entrepreneurship Cell has been working for the initiative of fostering entrepreneurship for the past 15 years, with a measurable impact. I think it is unjust to provide the work the student body has done and is still not given the recognition it deserves. }} {unblock | reason=Your reason here Sir, Entrepreneurship cell, IIT Kanpur is an NGO body running events affecting the country at large placing IIT Kanpur first in the NIRF ranking for INNOVATION, apart from this Wikipedia has recognized different Entrepreneurship cells of Different IITs I really don't understand the difference or the basis given. Request reason:

Your reason here Also please if you unblock me I have a humongous amount of references to include in the article linking to the Guests we have, the events we conduct, and startups we are catering to and various event publication of E-Summit, crowned as one of the most impactful entrepreneurial fests with the budget of 75+ Lakhs. Please if you could unblock me and review the article after completion you won't be disappointed. It is an organization that has been making people from just job seekers to job creators

Decline reason:

Oh, heavens no. You may not do this at all. Wikipedia is not the place for any of these things. You're not even able to craft an unblock request without self-promotion. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 17:56, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
