Deletion of ISAKOS International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine
Hi. The article was deleted because of text infringement. This text was written by me and my source was the official web site of ISAKOS (www.isakos.com) and my knowledge about scientific societies. Because of that some article data was similar to the website data. I am a orthopedic from Brazil and thought I'd start writing on wikipedia about the scientific societies related to orthopedics. Unfortunately, some data about ISAKOS might be similar to the source data, e.g. Board of Directors, Past Presidents, etc. I would like the article was restored to make new changes, avoiding rules violations. I'm not familiar with the Wikipedia format, but I think to be important to write about the Orthopedics Societies. I saved the text of ISAKOS article and if you prefer I can rewrite it. I appreciate your attention and would like to be advised about wikipedia if deemed necessary. Thank you.
Deletion of Parachute (typefoundry)
Hi,
There was a speedy deletion because of text infringement. This text is written by me and used on the web, copied from the official website[1] . I want to request the restoration of the article or the source code so i can use it for a new article and not write it from the beginning.

Hi, looking for more specific feedback on improving https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Colette_Richarme We want to improve it rather than have it deleted. I am collaborating with French friends on this effort. I understand the concern about hagiography. I have added more external links, and a reference on another page to link to this one. The standards for the French version and the English version seem to be different so I appreciate any guidance you can provide. For example, to what extent is it fair to quote Richarme on her work? What can we add about her place in post-war French painting? (I am handicapped by not being an artist) I have not edited a page for Wikipedia before so the guidance is welcome--we all want this to succeed. - The issue is that articles in English Wikipedia must be verifiable. That means all claims need to reference reliable sources. At the moment the article does not reference any reliable secondary sources that can attest to the importance of this artist. Fixing that problem will go a very long way towards getting this problem fixed. --Salimfadhley (talk) 03:43, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
That is helpful. My French friends are concerned that "reliable sources" might be tilted toward the English-speaking world. Richarme is much better known in the French-speaking world. Have you looked at the references and links I added? They include art museums, the regional newspaper, and biography of Lousie Bourgeois as well as a link from Académie de la Grande Chaumière where she is listed as a former student. What I am trying to determine is whether those are sufficient to get over the bar you have proposed. Thanks for your help. Samrkaplan (talk) 12:20, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- These sound like good sources. Fortunately I am not the judge of this issuse and I will not be voting on the deletion of this article. --Salimfadhley (talk) 16:41, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, but as I am a newbie, how do you advise that we proceed--what would you do next if this were your page? Samrkaplan (talk) 17:15, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Ensure that every claim in the article is backed up by a reliable source. Ensure that all sources are referenced correctly. I think that's the main requirement. --Salimfadhley (talk) 17:58, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, and I appreciate your patience with my questions: what should be done with the restrictions/questions showing at the top of the page now? Do I remove them? Do I petition someone to remove them? How is that handled within the Wikipedia norms? 67.98.222.16 (talk) 18:27, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Unless the template says not to remove them, you can remove them yourself if you feel the concerns have been dealt with. --Salimfadhley (talk) 18:29, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks--and finally, did you put them there, or should I address this conversation to someone else who might have an opinion worth considering as well? 67.98.222.16 (talk) 18:46, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- You can refer to the page's history to see who changed something. --Salimfadhley (talk) 19:11, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
