This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Merrilyn Goos, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://researchers.uq.edu.au/researcher/188.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Disambiguation link notification for November 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rosetta Jane Birks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mary Lee. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your draft article, Draft:Edith Emily Dornwell
[edit]Hello, Salamanda14. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Edith Emily Dornwell".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Edith Emily Dornwell}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 04:01, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Susan Neuhaus
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Susan Neuhaus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Savonneux (talk) 05:44, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
"Wikibomb" event
[edit]Hello. I'm contacting you about a "Wikibomb" event held in Australia, which I understand you may have been involved in.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have gone brilliantly - a lot of the pages created weren't that great and have needed further editing, or ended up getting deleted (I think one got recreated) for being copyright violations. This has been discussed in a discussion thread here. My impression is that a lot of the new editors involved now have a pile of messages on their talk pages asking who they are or if they're some kind of spam merchant. I think as a result that they may find this very confusing and frustrating.
If you have one or know who does, could you post a list of editors participating in the event and the pages they created on the ANI thread so that their articles can be followed up? Thanks. Blythwood (talk) 00:57, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- (removed earlier message) It can only get better from here - please feel encouraged - its all upwards from here !!! JarrahTree 02:05, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Melanie Bahlo, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 02:58, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
Copyright problem: Wikibomb2016
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Wikibomb2016, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.scienceweek.net.au/women-in-stem-wikibomb/, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Wikibomb2016 and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". Make sure you quote the exact page name, Wikibomb2016, in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Wikibomb2016. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0", or that the material is released into the public domain, or if you have strong reason to believe it is, leave a note at Talk:Wikibomb2016 with a link to where we can find that note or your explanation of why you believe the content is free for reuse.
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Wikibomb2016 saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.
Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Gestrid (talk) 05:39, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
Susan Neuhaus
[edit]Hi Salamanda. I noticed that you seem to have stirred things up with a Science Week event in Adelaide. Sorry about that. I am also from Adelaide. I had a look for info about Susan Neuhaus and have created Draft:Susan Neuhaus based on your deleted article (I am an "administrator" so can see into the deleted files) and the first page of Google hits about her. I also found a couple of references to her already in Wikipedia, so made them active links to Susan Neuhaus. I have found that scientists are surprisingly difficult to demonstrate wikinotability for compared to sportspeople or politicians, but it is possible. I don't have time to extend this draft now (I think it would have easily avoided Speedy Deletion), so you are welcome to expand it. Some time, someone else (as I am now "involved") should move it to article space and undelete the earlier versions to show that you started the article. Please don't feel too discouraged by this experience. --Scott Davis Talk 11:28, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Maree O'Keefe
[edit]The article Maree O'Keefe has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- See WP:Notability (academics) for requirements.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MatthewVanitas (talk) 06:55, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
