Hi Sainsf, I've left comments at the GA review. I sincerely hope you don't get the impression from my lengthy comments that I am being too critical with your efforts. I'm very happy to see you improving various mushroom articles, and I hope that I can can impart to you some of my experience in writing for Wikipedia, to assist you in becoming a powerful content contributor. It's one of my long-term goals to make Wikipedia a respected resource for mycology, and the more talented writers we have, the better! Cheers, Sasata (talk) 11:26, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

FAC

I have made a review of the Giant Eland FAC you have opened, and left some comments in it. Can I ask you to make a review of my nomination at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/May Revolution/archive7 in return? Cambalachero (talk) 00:44, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for leaving your good comments for Giant eland FAC. About your May Revolution FAC, I am not acquainted with FAs or FACs. But I will try leaving useful comments at the FAC page. For now, I have left a few image review comments. Please look there, and also my replies at the Giant eland FAC. Sainsf <^>Talk all words 12:58, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

DYK

I had a look at your article and have suggested an alternative hook here.

Thank you for your GA comments. I will work further on the Starfish article tomorrow. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:24, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for performing the GA review for Starfish. I thought you did the review well, a great improvement on your review of Common toad which I think was your first review when you were learning the ropes. The points from Starfish will be useful for me to put towards my score in the WikiCup which comes to an end soon, on the 31st October. As I am busily trying to scrape a few more points, I don't think I will have time to spend on your FAC article Giant Eland. Next time you put an article forward for FAC I will probably not be so busy, or maybe I could help with the prose before you put one forward. Good luck! Dromedary

Glad you found the script, it's really useful. I actually think it makes sense to pull Dromedary and polish it. You can either indicate on the FAC comments, preferably in bold, or contact one of the two active delegates (Graham or Ian) directly to ask. I'm not unsympathetic, and I'm quite happy to work with you on this in a less pressured environment than FAC. I'm no expert on camels, but I have a lot of experience at FAC, so I know how to improve prose and maybe suggest other information you could add. For example, I'd be inclined to start the taxonomy section with a sentence saying how camels are related to other mammals — not essential, but it gives a context. My GAN

Hi Sainsf, I actually replied a while ago that I will get to the changes asap. I am in the middle of preparing for a few exams and papers and gathering more info for 2 other wikipedia pages, so I will likely get to the changes the week of December 9th. Sorry for the mixup. As I said, I replied to your original post, but that reply seems to have been deleted. Thank you, though, for your patience. Regarding the Northern Mockingbird article

Hello! First, I'll apologize for the late response. I would next like to start off with the articles that I was able to find. There are some sources for the article I have added, but cannot access them, such as this for an example: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0003347287802567

Some I have been able to add in spite of not writing those sections, but there still is a certain amount that needs to be source, and I think that the majority of it can be found from the articles that were used for that page, the citations just have to be used on multiple occasions. If the two who rewrote the majority of the article were able to access the sources and cite them more accordingly to Wikipedia's standards for GA, it would be no problem. I'm still going to look for more, regardless. However, I suggest the ones concerning the Song Sparrow and Carolina Wren (found the Wren, but not the Sparrow) and the lullaby can possibly be deleted. I cannot find a link with the everything listed with the lullaby part involved, just the lyrics to the song. And considering it's trivial, it can be deleted with little to no problem, and if someone decides to add it back on there, they can add the source themselves. LeftAire (talk) 21:52, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for coming back here. First, I would like to know which necessary citations you are unable to access. The one you mentioned is accessible by me. Yes, I think if it is hard to find source for the lullaby and all, better delete it. If you need to cite multiple times, do so. No need of more sources, may create more trifles. I hope you will find it easy now. Sainsf <^>Talk all words 13:40, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
Here are some of the articles that can be of potential use:

It's likely that not all of these will be used for the article, but some will definitely be used to get those needed citations.

I'm probably going to rewrite the majority of the second portion of the song and calls section, as it's rather underwhelming to me. I can't find a decent source for that Song Sparrow/Carolina Wren section, and try to find some sources and write it similar to what I did with the Brown Thrasher article. LeftAire (talk) 18:49, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

I think you ought to delete that Song Sparrow/Carolina Wren section. As of the sources, I can't access the third one. Others I can. I will see where I can add info from the sources. And please fix the parts in Adaptation to urban habitats and Parental care. If you find no sources, simply delete these. Got it? Sainsf <^>Talk all words 10:06, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I have fixed issues in Parental care. It seems a problem in ref positioning. Please don't add any ref more now. Once the article is passed you can add much as you like from the above sources (good ones, but the second is already cited). Sainsf <^>Talk all words 10:17, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Fixed the other issues. Don't worry, the only one I didn't 'stay within the family' of citations was the folk song that was the Mockingbird, and I have the url linked with that citation properly.LeftAire (talk) 20:18, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Scimitar Oryx GOCE request

Hi Sainsf. Just to let you know that I am re-doing it. Sorry about the last one. --Stfg (talk) 15:42, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

The Taxonomy and naming section once again starts with two consecutive sentences beginning with the words "The scimitar oryx ...". That is an unnecessary, tedious repetition, which is why I changed the second one to "It ...". I'm disappointed that you immediately reverted that without even noting it in the edit summary. I'll drop the article from my watchlist now and leave you to it. --Stfg (talk) 12:08, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
In fact I've rewritten the first three sentences to bring the Oken 1816 stuff into one sentence. I'll leave it at that. --Stfg (talk) 14:15, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Sorry for disappointing you. Thanks for your help. Sainsf <^>Talk all words 04:43, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
