Regarding your recent reverts

[edit]

Hi Safwanzulfiqar,

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your recent contribution to Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 has been reverted. Please read all the links in the welcome message above. The most important of which are the Five Principles. Of especial importance is neutral point of view. Another important principle to know is to recognise reliable sources, no original research, verifiability and how to cite sources. Editting with a POV could result in serious consequences upto/including being banned from Wikipedia. Your message on the talk page of the 1965 article indicates that you have an axe to grind. I advise you to read all the links in the welcome message above, make your initial edits on non-controversial articles and learn your way around before you get to contentious articles involving Indo-Pakistani military history. I welcome you once again and hope that you develop into a conscientious and correct editor on Wikipedia. All the best, feel free to approach me if you have any queries. Hi Safwanzulfiqar, your repeated introduction of biased material to augment or to replace sourced material is vandalism. I have reverted your edits. Kindly refrain from these kind of edits. Should you repeat this, I would be constrained to request administrator action against you. Do follow the advice given in links above, so that you can develop into a productive and useful editor on Wikipedia. Please take heed, this is your last warning. Edits on 65 war article (An advice)

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

You might consider adding a {{dispute}} or {{pov}} tag to an article you consider is unfair instead of leaving comments on the article in form of disclaimers or things like that. Talkpage is there for such texts. Then you are advised to debate on the article's talk page. I saw your edit request on the talkpage, although an attempt to present a point of view on the talk page is appreciated, but your edits will only be allowed to remain in the article if they are verifiable by references such as books, news sources, articles, etc. This article in specific is being maintained by Pakistani, Indian and neutral editors at the same time. Only that text is included that is verified by neutral/third party references. Claims of a party that are verified being from that party are placed under the context of being a claim from them. I recommend you review wikipedia's policies and participate with references and flexibility to debate. Otherwise you will get reported and blocked and all your good faith attempts to edit articles will be reverted. If you have any queries feel free to contact me.

Here are a few policies you might want to read before making your next edit. WP:3RR, WP:Consensus, WP:GOODFAITH, WP:HEAR & WP:TPG. Wikipedia is a tertiary source and does not include what is true (see WP:TRUTH), instead it includes what is verifiable. If you think something is right but you can't verify it, it means there's nothing you can really do about it. What you can do is, research the topic and come back with established verifiable facts from well known published sources. Note that some times it takes days to establish a base for a controversial edit, so never edit when you are angry or in hurry. Happy editing. --lTopGunl (talk) 17:39, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
