HAPPY NEW YEAR!
January 2008
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as you did to Sound Factory The Band. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. Thanx so much NascarFan24 :)
Ok I will spend some time reading the rules here!
Sound Factory NPOV
[edit]I tagged it because of expressions like this one: "The project features excellent musicians like", this: "Julie P. is a composer, songwriter, singer, dj (samplings, turntables), excellent sound and pro-tools engineer (she had her first home studio when she was seventeen) and record producer." and this: "Robertopeland's multiples activities as a drummer are proudly sponsored by Percussioni magazine, Dori acoustic booth and Acustica drum store." All of that sounds like advertising, thus it violates NPOV and got tagged as such. Andante1980 (talk) 07:57, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Juliepqueen.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Juliepqueen.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:45, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Coverdreamon.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Coverdreamon.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --04:41, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Juliepawareness.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Juliepawareness.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:54, 5 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 01:54, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2011 November 6#Sound Factory. SchuminWeb (Talk) 14:44, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
The article Sound Factory (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Couldn't establish WP:NOTABILITY
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boleyn (talk) 17:12, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
