License tagging for File:President berkman.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:President berkman.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Egypt pigs-2.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Egypt pigs-2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:16, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Saab is a Lebanese name. Volvo is not. Some people may think your name is the Saab car name, but I think it is the Lebanese family name.

Fair use rationale for File:Al-Arabi.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Al-Arabi.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 17:57, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can You add the magazines release details, like year, issue, publisher etc. to the image's information table and edit it to include a fair use rationale. feydey (talk) 20:55, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just did, let me know what you think. --Saab 1989 (talk) 13:14, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Al-Arabi (magazine)

I have reviewed the article and made some grammar and syntax changes and also fixed some broken internal links. If this your first endeavour, it was great and I would recommend you to explore more tools offered for editing. If you need further assistance, proofreading, or translation, do not hesitate. Happy editing :) --HaythamAbulela 06:55, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Live help

[edit]

As discussed, I moved the article to the correct spelling, Muhammad Metwali Alsharawi.

I've also fixed up your user page User:Saab_1989.

I added links to some user subpages that you can use for any future testing, or article development, by adding this;

*[[User:Saab 1989/test1]]
*[[User:Saab 1989/test2]]
*[[User:Saab 1989/test3]]
*[[User:Saab 1989/something]]

- feel free to edit it, change the names, and add a bit of info about yourself/your interests, or just use it to put links to articles of interest, etc.

We've also found the old content, and we will add that to the page very soon. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  02:13, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

[edit]

Hello Saab 1989. We are looking for someone who colud translate and upoload on Arabic wikipedia a page about an artistic movement founded in Italy: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/IMMAGINE%26POESIA Could you please help us or suggest what to do? Thanks a lot--Aeron10 (talk) 19:30, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for your reply. I think that the best thing to do, to upload correctly the images ,is to see how similar images are uploaded on Arabian WP, for ex, in the page of the artistic movement Pop Art. In English the names of the images are:

IMMAGINE&POESIA 2008 poster.gif

and

Aeronwy thomas.jpg

I don't think we need a biography template (as it is not a person, but an artistic movement), but we need to know how bibliography, references and categories are uploaded.
So again if you search Pop Art and click Edit, maybe you can see how to do. We are really grateful for your help--Aeron10 (talk) 14:50, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Saab 1989. I have just seen the beautiful page of IMMAGINE&POESIA on Arabian WP:
http://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%AE%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%84_%D9%88%D8%B4%D8%B9%D8%B1
Sorry to have bothered you, thanks so much--Aeron10 (talk) 04:58, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have refined the article and made some minor changes besides adding a new links section. --HaythamAbulela 04:53, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey mate

[edit]

hi mate, we are trying to organize WP:LEB and trying to make our memebers communicate more outside the frame of wikipedia. the first step was the facebook page, now we are "invading" the skyscrapercity forum. The Lebanese forum there is very lively, and the formumers are very enthusiastic and spend waaaay to much time researching the web yet they chose to share their knowledge over there and not on wikipedia, our move will aim to heighten the forumers awareness about wikipedia, i hope to see you there, please join in, introduce yourself and be active, you will find me there under the same username.click here Eli+ 14:29, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Al-arabi

[edit]

Hi !! I no longer login to wikipedia frequently, so I only read your message recently. I edited Al-Arabi_(magazine) and improved it a little, but there were a couple of sentences that I could not really edit, so I left them as is. Hope this helps. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:29, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here!
