Editing Concerns
[edit]- Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Hi, thank you for updating the article on Cesare Mori, that was long overdue. However, keep in mind that this is the English Wikipedia, and not the Italian. Most people who use the English Wikipedia don’t read Italian. Those who do read Italian and want to know the correct Italian versions of quotes can go to the Italian version. In the English version we should try to have English references and sources, and only when those are not available, use other languages. There are some good English sources, such as the recent book Mafia Allies by historian Tim Newark which has extensive sections on Mori. I re-edited the article and removed the Italian language quotes as well as unnecessary Italian sources. Sciascia’s novel is translated into English, for instance, and if you want to use the quote, you should use the English version. Once again, people who want to know Italian sources can go to the Italian version. I agree with some of the comments you made in Talk:Cesare Mori to have a more balanced approach and hope we can collaborate to improve the article even more. - Mafia Expert (talk) 11:12, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
