Greetings/Thanks
[edit]Hello, STATEHOUSE1839, and welcome to Wikipedia! To get started, click on the link that says "welcome". I (and the rest of us here, too) hope you like it here and decide to stay! I wanted to give a special thanks to you for your work on the Ohio legislature stubs. A little bit more expansion would be great, if you get the time. Happy editing! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Categorizing your articles
[edit]Hi, I noticed that in your creation of articles on members of the Ohio House of Representatives, you remembered the stub tag but not categories. I've gone through and added categories to them for you, but in the future you might want to do that at the time you create a page. If you want some pointers on how to categorize biographical articles on Wikipedia, Wikipedia:Categorization of people outlines how to do that. Cheers! --Oddharmonic (talk) 04:50, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Roland Windburn. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Too-short articles
[edit]Merry Christmas! For your benefit, I'd like to suggest that there's no need to create "placeholder" articles which state that "X is a memeber of the Ohio House of Representatives." Articles which are little more than declarative statements like that are candidates for speedy deletion. Thanks! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:32, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Robert J. Otterman. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Unsourced biographies
[edit]Hi there, thanks for creating the politician articles. Please remember to include at least one reference from a reliable source with each one. It could be their listing on the state representative website, a newspaper article online, etc. Burpelson AFB (talk) 02:31, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi; I'd like to also point this out also, as it seems you have not heeded this warning. Please, please find at least one reference for each article. LaraBot's post below gives some links to useful pages and policies. Happy editing, Airplaneman talk 04:28, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Ohio State Senators
[edit]Just an FYI; the category is located at Category:Ohio State Senators and not at Category:Members of the Ohio State Senate. Just wanted to save you a little work.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the policy to not edit in a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 20:28, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
Unsourced article?
[edit]Just curious — why did you tag the Tony Core article as unsourced? There were five sources on the article when you tagged it. Nyttend (talk) 01:13, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Blocked: Creating unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Despite multiple warnings, you are continuing to create unsourced biographies of living persons, which is specfically contrary to core Foundation policy. As such, you have been blocked for 48 hours. When the block expires, please either stop creating these biographies, or ensure they are reliably sourced. Failure to do so will result in an indefinite block. Thank you. PeterSymonds (talk) 22:20, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello STATEHOUSE1839! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 15 of the articles that you created are currently tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- J. Tom Lendrum - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Jon Peterson (politician) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
