The chat lingo

The SMSes and chats are spoiling grammar and spellings of most people , not just kids. It can be clearly seen in wikipedia articles. ' U' has definitely become the official 'You' it seems. And what about 'are' to 'r' . How much time do you save by omitting just 2 characters ! I hope the language does not keep getting spoilt like this
