We are not spammers...

Regarding our previous discussion, you still did not answer my question... what constitutes a notable, credible source? Have you looked at KevinNottingham.com, let alone read one of our reviews?

1) We are award winners. SOHH Online Hip-Hop Award winners http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/SOHH. Thus, we have been certified, by a "credible website" that we, ourselves, are credible and represent music better than some of the other websites out there.

2) If a website like RapReviews.com, which not only get less hits than us, but has blatantly pathetic reviews, is on Wikipedia, why can't we be?

3) We have interviews from highly credible artists including Akon and Talib Kweli; artist who will vouch for the website as a "credible source," specifically acknowledging our content, our interviews, and our album reviews.

4) We have no interest in promoting our website, in fact, we've made it where we are with zero promotion. We are concerned with educating people HONESTLY about an album or an album's content. While websites like Rapreviews give everything a 10/10 and HipHopDX give everything a 3.5/5, we present a larger scale and fuller, in depth reviews.

5) How are we promoting ourselves though, where Hip Hop DX and such aren't? We actually HAVE cited previous articles with information, especially regarding sample sources of particular hip hop songs that were even once inaccurate.

Once again, I beg to see how we are negative for Wikipedia. We put our link in the Review section because a) it is asked for and b) so people can read the full review. We have gotten some great clicks from Wikipedia turning new readers into big fans of one of the more credible hip hop sites out there. Not only do we have awards to prove it, we have a fan base of over 15,000 hits a day WORLD WIDE, attention from some of the best and biggest artists in hip hop and R&B, and a site owner that is heavily involved in the music industry. It pains me to believe that a site like RapReviews.com is "okay" but KevinNottingham.com isn't. Please, I emplore you to read one of the reviews, check out the site. Then you will see that we have no interest in spamming, instead we wish to improve the knowledge of hip hop.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pan21897 (talkcontribs) 03:54, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

the relevancy of WP:POKEMON

re: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stephen Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner (2nd nomination).

since you don't understand the applicability of WP:POKEMON, i'll explain it in terms that even you can understand. WP:POKEMON is an example of why WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is true. that articles on other crap exist does not mean articles on other crap will always exist. people used to say "we can't delete this article because there are articles on pokemon!". well, there aren't, anymore, as that article very clearly establishes. similarly, "Stephen Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner (2nd nomination)" ought not be cited as precedent for inclusion because there's no guarantee it'll be around forever.

in short, your comments in the afd "are asinine and completely missing the point" (to quote you). i suggest you refrain from participating in afd's in the future until you better understand wikipedia's policies. as is, your closing arguments hold no sway and are in violation of WP:JUSTAVOTE, WP:CIVIL, and WP:AFD. Misterdiscreet (talk) 23:38, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

WP:POKEMON and WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS are interpretations of WP:CCC and interpretations are perfectly valid reasons for deleting articles. want precedent? check out Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stephen Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner (2nd nomination). it was closed with WP:SNOW which, itself, is an interpretation of WP:IAR. my suggestion to you, sir, is to stop presuming to know anything about a subject you are clearly ignorant about Misterdiscreet (talk) 21:24, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
i must have missed that part in in WP:CIVIL where it says "thou shalt not disagree with Rwiggum". maybe you could point that section out to me? Misterdiscreet (talk) 21:38, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
you didn't look very hard then. Misterdiscreet (talk) 21:59, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
also, i'm not attacking - i'm defending. someone presents evidence that they believe counters my position and i'll defend my position. if i wasn't prepared to defend my position i have no business making it my position. that doesn't mean i'm not open to compromise, however, as previously demonstrated Misterdiscreet (talk) 22:03, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

You made me work for it... that's for sure. But thank you for requesting te closure. And in noting the removal of the additional reviews, I moved them to the talk page per guideline so they are accessible should anyone wish to glean them for additiona informations. And actually, I believe I will go through the director interviews again, as some of that stuff is quite helpful. It was through the director's own livejournal page that I was given the clues as to where to find some nice sources. Best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 16:40, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

re snowball clause

not that I'm interested in getting hung up on this goofy page, but don't you think this revert was a bit extreme? couple of points:

  • it really is an extension of 'not a bureaucracy', and has more in common with common sense, point, and civility than IAR. the snowball clause actually works against 'Ignore all rules'.
  • a lot of the writing in my revisions is just plain better than what was there previously.

read it more carefully and see if you disagree. --Ludwigs2 01:03, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

hmmm... interesting. you've made edits since I left this message (so I know you've seen it), but you didn't respond, here or on the talk page. so I'll revert, and open a discussion on the talk page. see you there! --Ludwigs2 20:27, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of AnimationToolkit

An article that you have been involved in editing, AnimationToolkit, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AnimationToolkit. Thank you.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. MuZemike 05:04, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I've declined your request for deletion of the Timothy Training Institute per A7. To avoid A7 an article only needs to make a claim at importance/significance. This article clearly does so in numerous places. For example, the claim to serving 2 million people is a claim of significance. The claim of working in 40 countries is a claim to significance. The role of providing training to people who otherwise wouldn't have recourse to formal training is one of importance. Any one of these is enough to avoid a CSD... that does not mean that any of these will protect it from AFD. But it is enough to avoid CSD. For more on this you might want to read Why I hate Speedy Deleters or Field guide to proper speedy deletion.---I'm Spartacus! NO! I'm Spartacus! 19:40, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok, so I have edited the page and included even more info-but I still don't know what would make this page, to be "approved". Why would a page, e.g. http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Open_Doors be considered, when the creator didn't even add one reference, yet when I include more info and add references, the page is still flagged for deletion. I accept the fact that you have guidelines and if my page gets deleted, that's fine, but Im having trouble in understanding why...especially when I compare it to other pages...Is it perhaps a matter of private interpretation? Re: Queen Hyde Park AFD

There were too many comments to justify a relist. –Juliancolton | Talk 19:54, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Hey there Rwiggum, I've asked SJ to explain what he sees in this article that justifies removing the CSD tag. Generally, I am opposed to restoring CSD tags from articles once an independent party has removed it. But in this case, I don't see the reason it should have been removed.---I'm Spartacus! NO! Hello Rwiggum Can you explain why my page for http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Nozio was deleted when a similar page exists that has hardly any content or references and in my mind is clearly an advertisement for the company? for example: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Hotels.com Travelbrit , also I'm happy to follow your guidelines as long they are applied to everyone or this this not the wikipedia way? thx (talk) 21:06, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Doornails (song)

That's fine with me, I made that page when I first started with wikipedia. (User: Whoneedspants) 23:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

As you made the original nomination for this article, you may be interested in the above. Black Kite 19:11, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

If you have time, I'd appreciate your looking in at Horror film genre-specifc reliable sources and either comment, advise, or contribute. I think something like this should have been a while ago so as to help stop the bickering at AfDs. I figure that by offering a simple article that shows how certain (not all) independent review sites meet guideline, we can perhaps have someplace to look in our checking of source suitability. I have found your discussions at AfD to be inciteful and would much appreciate your input. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:47, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I see yor thoughts on an expedient

Hi ok well I see your thoughts on the Avril Lavigne Bonez World Tour

ok please check onc egain the page We already put tons of new info, pictures, references, background and well just to see the dates and see that the tour was worldwide means that this was an important tour. I don't think this should be delated pleaseee also imagine all the hard work of puttin the 144 dates one by one that's a hard work anyway the page is gettin each time with more info and it would continue gettin more so it has defenetly to stay

also we decide to create the Avril tours pages because she was one of the only biggest artist that doesn't have it

we promise and I more than anything I promise to continue collaborating with all the best info we find :D BUT PLEASE don't delated I don't think that's fair.

thank you and take care bye —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emmanuel rocks (talkcontribs) 04:05, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

It is a public computer, don't you think? If you don't know then don't act like a whiner. But it is, and many other people like me use it, or used it until someone decided to play smart. What kind of twisted person goes whining on the Administrators about someone that might or might not have gone around their stupid rules? And in case you want to block this other computer too, I warn you that it is also a public one. 194.65.1.253 (talk) 17:18, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Current members/Past members

Instead of getting into an edit war, and also because you provided me with a link to an article which is maintained frequntly, I've decided to message you here.

Template:Infobox_Musical_artist#Past_members states clearly that all former members should be listed under Former Members if the band is inactive.

Which is right and which is wrong? There seems to be a conflict here? »—Mikaytalkcontribs 19:49, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the speedy reply to my message! :D

There does seem to be a fine line here. I went and looked in the featured articles to see the general consensus and there's a discussion about this issue on the Nirvana talk page. The consensus seems to be the way you have said, but there are some valid arguments against the latter.

You're right about SoCo though, I guess if they were to return from their hiatus, they'd return in the form of the "Current Members" list. Interesting discussion though - I think the template probably needs updating. »—Mikaytalkcontribs 20:00, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

David L Cook page

I am unsure as to why you nominated the television sub page for this article after it has already passed a WP:GA and it was suggested that the subpage be set up to save space by more than one admin? I have looked and I do not find one instance where this was used as a push for POV as you staed in your deletion request. I would like it very much if you explain your actions here! This is a very well done article and has been looked at not only by myself but a wikipedia Bureaucrat as well as several adminstrators. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Braid (band). You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:39, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

I've removed the prod tag from this article as I (strongly) suspect this band meets the notability threshold and I've neutralized the language quite a bit. It still needs sourcing, but it's less bad than before. That said, this may well be a candidate for AfD. I'm not the guy to do it, though, since I would be inclined to vote to keep. Cheers, buddy. I've recently been working on cleaning up the article on Braid. I rememberd earlier you mentioned that you had read Post by Eric Grubbs. I don't know if you know much about Braid, but I'd appreciate it if you took a look at what I've got so far and give me a little feedback. I havn't gotten the sources punched in yet, but I could use any help you may have there as well, since most of my info comes from Post. Keep up the good edits.Natt the Hatt (talk) 05:47, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I actually went to Amazon and got a copy. It does have a lot of info about a couple of bands. Most of what I have is from that. Now I just need to get a few other sources to round things out a little.Natt the Hatt (talk) 15:02, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

In particular, I think notability requirements and assessment guidelines could be added/updated. Please check out the page if you're still interested and move your name to the 2011 active list. Thanks! Udeezy (talk) 23:14, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

RE: There Are Rules assessment

Exist many unsourced statements ("However, after Reynolds left Myspace, he approached the band about self-distributing the album on their own label. The album was released on January 25, 2011 on compact disc, 180 gram vinyl and digital download. The iTunes version of the album came with two bonus tracks.", "One of the most positive takes came from Alternative Press, who gave the album four-and-a-half stars out of five", the personnel and chart performance sections; still missing the commercial performance, a solid WP:LEAD, promotion (if exists), etc. So that's why it is not a B-class article. New page patrolling

Hello, Rwiggum. I just wanted to stop by to thank you for your help with the vital work of patrolling new pages, and ask if you might make sure to "mark" pages as patrolled by clicking the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page after you've done checking the article. This saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks! Skomorokh 09:32, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Uri Zohar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Israeli (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Need help with Broken Bride

Greetings Rwiggum. First of all, welcome back, I haven't seen you around for awhile. I noticed you reverted an edit to the article on Ludo's Broken Bride. Unfortunately, I've been going back and forth with that particular editor (I assume, since they have no username) for some time. I've tried to contact them, but when I do, they change to another IP address. They've made no attempt to contact me to see if we can come to a consensus, and simply revert every edit I make. I'm hoping your help might get the point across. If not, maybe you could point me in the right direction for solving this problem, since I've never run into this issue before. Sorry to dump a problem on you, but you've always been very consistent and helpful to me. Cheers. Natt the Hatt (talk) 02:08, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

The Revolution goes on...

Sorry, the band DOES have an article The Duckworth Lewis Method. There can be a problem finding out because of Duckworth Lewis Method also existing and being a redirect to Duckworth–Lewis method (which is where the band get their name from). Confused? So am I. I don't understand cricket. (I understand American sports even less...) Whether or not the track is notable, I'm not sure. Probably is from the look of things. Whichever, it's not a speedy job. You have to have non-notable AND redlink for A9. (I've linked the group's name, and the track in their article.) Peridon (talk) 20:53, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

The article Sean Riley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article relies on one article which relies entirely on one source that is 404'd. If someone can find credible sources to sustain the article, then I retract my proposal, but I was unable to find any.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Real Ghostbusters.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:The Real Ghostbusters.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 12:27, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

File source problem with File:All Songs Considered - 2009.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:All Songs Considered - 2009.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

A barnstar for you!

The Civility Barnstar
Uggg my mistake on the Kicker (EP) article, I went through all the interviews on Billboard and FINALLY found one that talked about Kicker making it to number 10 on the Billboard Vinyl chart which was all it really needed. The Indie chart that's listed on the bands discography is behind a paywall. Thanks for being chill and responsive, I almost made a really stupid mistake to an important article. You were super cool and professional which I really appreciate. Thanks again! Dr vulpes (💬📝) 01:54, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

@Dr_vulpes Aww, thank you so much for this!! My pleasure! Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 03:57, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
