[edit]Hi RugbyNE66! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
September 2013
[edit]Hello, I'm Noq. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Alnwick RFC, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please do not add in lists of non notable people to this article. It is not the clubs website and this information does not belong in an encyclopaedia entry. noq (talk) 10:42, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
Lots of rugby websites have these sort of lists eg West Hartlepool R.F.C. please can you leave my page alone whilst I sort references out
- Please discuss on the article talk page rather than re-insert the list. As explained above and in the edit summaries I left, this is not appropriate in an encyclpaedia article - just because some other pages have them, does not mean you should add them here. noq (talk) 11:02, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
just leave it alone stop being so pedantic!!!! im adding sources as I type
Newcastle Falcons has a squad list loads of rugby pages do leave Alnwicks alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Please stop it. WP:edit warring is not productive. Please read WP:verifiability and WP:OWNER. You appear to be trying to create a website for the club rather than an encyclopaedia entry about it. None of the people listed are in any way notable and the likelyhood is none of them ever will be. Listing details of the scores of these people is not in any way appropriate to an encyclopaedia and just reverting without discussing is contrary to the way wikipedia works. Please read WP:BRD - you were bold and added the list, I reverted and so you should now be discussing the matter on the article talk page rather than just reverting again. The Newcastle article is not really relevant as tier 1 teams consist of notable people and have plenty of WP:reliable sources available. Despite your last entry, no sources about this have been added anyway. BTW, in the talk pages, you should end your comments with a signature, this can be added automatically by typing ~~~~ at the end. noq (talk) 11:25, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Ramsey R.U.F.C.
no body seems to mind about this ???? Whats the issue with Alnwick??
- Thanks for pointing those articles out - they have been corrected. Just because WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, it is no reason to add more stuff that should not be there. Lots of articles exist, many that few people ever look at, so things like that can exist for a long time until its noticed. The issue is not specifically with Alnwick but with things that really do not belong in such an article. Please read the links provided earlier and in the welcome message at the top of this page and get to know what Wikipedia is about. noq (talk) 18:30, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:46, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
