Orphaned non-free image (Image:ProductionstillTYH2.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:ProductionstillTYH2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:ProductionstillTYH.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 16:48, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:KeeganPress1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:KeeganPress1.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. Help me!

[edit]

Hello, question about the article Curtis Macdonald: should it be flagged for speedy deletion under Wikipedia:A7?

Rseiwert (talk) 05:51, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article in question is sufficient to pass WP:A7, and has been in place since 2011 and hence speedy deletion clearly hasn't be necessary so far. I have however listed the article at AfD, where it will be discussed and possibly deleted. TheDragonFire (talk) 14:26, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Hi! A wiki page in english was deleted, however it still remains on the Italian wiki: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_Macdonald

Please note there are TWO Curtis Macdonalds who are in music: Curtis S.D. Macdonald, who's page was deleted, and Curtis Robert Macdonald, a composer b. 1985 from Canada. There is some confusion as to who is who.

Rseiwert (talk) 21:51, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We have no control over the Italian Wikipedia. If you wish to see the page deleted there, you need to nominate that specific page for deletion. If you are concerned that the English copy was deleted while the Italian version still exists, well, they have no control over what we do either. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 22:54, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Curtis MacDonald, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Curtis MacDonald

[edit]

Hello, Rseiwert. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Curtis MacDonald".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing.  » Shadowowl | talk 17:06, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
