Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a place for blogging or promotion. So please do not try to use Wikipedia to promote yourself or your family, band, product, or company. The subjects of our articles have to meet certain notability requirements and be written from a neutral point of view. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time, even if it's on your user page. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. If your gonna decline the unblock twice, it’s not worth it to be on Wikipedia then. Please delete my account.

Decline reason:

This isn't a request for an unblock. (Also we can't delete accounts.) JBW (talk) 21:56, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Was Creating a Blog/wikipedia Page for my own software Rosewell BASIC. It wasn't my intent to promote anything. I would still like to create the Rosewell BASIC Page as I feel it is important that I create that page and create the other page for the Rosewell OS software. I will edit my user page as to not promote anything except put the wikipedia pages I have created on there.

Decline reason:

You are confused. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a blog and not a place for you to write about your software. Yamla (talk) 10:43, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I know that Wikipedia is encyclopaedia, but my software is somewhat historic, it brings back a BASIC operating system to the modern world and it should be documented here. I didn’t intend to promote anything here all I was doing was putting like for information. And yes it happens to be to the GitHub page because it is the best place for the software to get information from unless I can make the Wikipedia pages. I intend to make the changes to my user page by just putting the page links to the Wikipedia pages that I created.

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not the place for you to document your software. We are interested in what independent reliable sources state about a topic, not what those associated with a topic say about it. There are likely proper forums to do what you want to do, this isn't one. If you want to edit about other topics, please tell what those might be. 331dot (talk) 14:38, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Rosewell BASIC, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   — Jeff G. ツ 13:01, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously? You weren't trying to promote anything? The page you created was clearly intended to publicise your work. JBW (talk) 21:59, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
