I have removed your edits about cheerleading pop because I could find no reliable sources describing the genre in depth. Do you have any? --NeilN talk to me 17:21, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Avril_Lavigne. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also useful when reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 22:51, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Concerns about your edits
[edit]I would like to restate that you need to use an edit summary for each edit you make so other editors know why you made the edit.
In regards to Because of You (Kelly Clarkson song), you need to stop adding adult contemporary to the music genre field. If you would read through that article, you would find out that adult contemporary is a radio format and not a music genre. Also since your addition was reverted per WP:BRD, you need to discuss the changes on Talk:Because of You (Kelly Clarkson song) instead of continually making this same edit over and over. Incorrect genres
[edit]Do you actually stand behind these edits, [1] to Breakaway (Kelly Clarkson song) and [2] to Leave This Town, Breakaway as country pop and Leave This Town as country rock? These are clearly incorrect genres. In the future, I ask that you provide a reliable source for every genre change you make to verify they are correct and that you are not vandalizing Wikipedia. I know, doesn't make any since. Graceannhill (talk) 21:19, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
Misuse of "punk rock"
[edit]You've labled quite a few songs as "punk rock," notably I Love Rock and Roll ([3]) and a bunch of Boys Like Girls songs. I suggest you read about the genre beforehand. It’s a name that has been misused a lot in the past due to its mainstream exposure, but, while the media attention might indicate otherwise, it is not a truly commercial genre, and there are only a few very well known groups that are true to the punk rock genre. The genre isn’t small, but most of the artists in it go unnoticed. Specifically with Boys Like Girls, they make hefty use of synthesizers and have lyrical themes typical to pop, both of which go against the punk mentality. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
