Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Information icon Hello, I'm Dougweller. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Inslaw without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Hi, Ronald. I see you recently removed large swaths of information from the article mentioned above - I have undone your edit and restored the information you removed. While I understand why you did it, and I personally totally agree with the absurdity of the "white savior narrative" and the slippery slope associated with it, you must understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a website of opinion pieces. Wikipedia simply articulates common ideas and attitudes in society; in a sense, it reflects society, and society is most definitely not monolithic. Therefore, even if these sources are narrow in their outlook, they still have influence, and deserve to be included in an article on a topic they regularly discuss. Instead of removing other people's thoughts and opinions, I would highly recommend you start a "Criticism" section on the article, or add more nuanced examples. Try to expand the information on the article, instead of depriving other users of its information. I would seriously love it if you could become a productive editor on Wikipedia - you very clearly have the capacity of articulate thought. Please just refrain from this type of behavior in the future. "All knowledge is knowledge." Esmost let's talk 09:54, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did at White savior narrative in film. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you think that the page should be deleted, please read Wikipedia:How to delete a page. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Spike Wilbury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, George Harrison, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. I think restoring your text would be ideal, based on the sources you provided on my talk page. Not all of them are ideal (generally blogs do not meet our definitely of a reliable source) but at least one of them seemed attached to an authoritative web site. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 13:31, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you think this is so important, then take it to the talk page and see what others think, else leave it alone, thanx, - FlightTime Phone (open channel) 21:22, 16 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
