I'd like to add Animation Art Conservation is the first web site to have authorized use of copyrighted Disney images and discuss conservation issues unique to animation art. to Art conservation. The source is (http://www.animationmagazine.net/article/1127) Ron Barbagallo (talk) 23:43, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, looks notable enough. I recommend that you post your request at Talk:Art conservation. --Elonka 00:12, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
End Note
[edit]My apologies to everyone. I've decided it might be best to remove my link to the Art Conservation page. It would simplify things since there is no longer a category to put it in. Ron Barbagallo (talk) 15:04, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Although, correction... someone put it back and put it back in two categories, both on the main page. I removed one of them. However, since my site seems to cause so much confusion, if it gets removed again, I won't continue to make an arguement for it. I guess people who are interested in it can still find it through Google. Again, thanks to those who tried to support it and my apologies to those who didn't get it, and the trouble that the emails and posts made. Ron Barbagallo (talk) 15:09, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Greetings Ron,
- I don't think "trouble" is the correct word... healthy debate (even disagreements, and arguments) cannot harm and certainly aren't trouble. I hope for everyones sake, that you continue to work on the Art conservation page, and that you consider starting a page of animation art conservation - at least a stub. Which can be developed over time. If you put your website as a link/reference on it there should be no need to remove the stub.. especially if cross linked to the various other conservation pages. We really need more pages, and you are quite clearly one of the experts in your field, and you have an interest in editing wikipedia.... thats kind of rare in conservation as far as I can tell. In fact I think you maybe one of the first conservators to have been involved in editing the page. [not 100% sure on that one].
- I finally got around to reading the getty link... some good stuff, thanks. Trouble is where to put it... conservation techniques, or restoration results? Anyways, thats not a question for here but for the talk pages.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the work you've done so far, and I hope that you continue. --Daniel Cull (talk) 19:51, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Ad Hominen
[edit]I've got a new favorite expression: Ad Hominem. My thanks to David Simon who on the Charlie Rose Show explained what this expression means. Ron Barbagallo
WALL-E
[edit]Thanks for your correction of the link on WALL-E. In the future, please try to put requests on the talk page, not on the main article. BOVINEBOY2008 :) 18:58, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
