Cumbernauld
[edit]Hi there - I revered your changes. If Cumbernauld was raised to a Lordship then it would need to go on the Lords page and be removed from the Barony page. Please provide evidence and referenced links. The SBR and Registry of Scots Nobility record it as a Barony not a lordship. Also there is no listing in Burke's peerage. - Dear Kelly
- My title was registered on the 3rd Dec. 2013 in the scotch Baronie register:

- thank you, I will move you over to the lords page and update it Kellycrak88 (talk) 13:30, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
- It's added. As per the note on the page: Note that for most Lords in the Baronage of Scotland a baron is a lord and a lord is a baron and can be used interchangeable or as per the preference of the holder. While a Scots baron - that is not a lord - is only ever called a baron. Kellycrak88 (talk) 13:39, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Kelly
- Thank you for adjusting.
- Please can you also amend the correct titling: Lord and Baron of....
- I know very well that all titles (Dukes, Earls, Lords and Barons) in the feudalism system are higher Baronies. Roland Zettel (talk) 08:44, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- We can't for lack of space and if we want to mirror peerage title formatting and pages, no peerage title is described as Baron and Lord of X.
- The title is both Baron of Cumbernauld and Lord of Cumbernauld it's interchangeable, as per the preference of the holder.
- Similar to Lord of Balvaird or Lord of Pittenweem
- Therefore, what is your preference for your listing on Lords in the Baronage of Scotland
- Lord or Baron? Kellycrak88 (talk) 10:20, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you Kelly for your quick response.
- In this case I would prefer "Lord of...."
- Thank's again and have a nice weekend.
- Roland Roland Zettel (talk) 10:29, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Here I am again.
- I would like to ad my second first name: "Ladislaus"
- I don't know why the page not accept.
- Can you help or explain?
- best regards
- Roland Roland Zettel (talk) 10:34, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Uniform formatting no middle names, unless it's part of surname (e.g. double barrel).
- There is limited space.
- If exception is made for you, then many others want middle names added.
- On your dedicated page you can have a middle name.
- I suggest we create a dedicated Earl of Wigtoun page (including the subsidiary Cumbernauld) which is separate from the from the peerage page.
- We need history of the title (probably already provided to you by BH), list of holders, family details, armorials etc.
- Lots of credible reference links will be needed for it to be approved by other editors.
- Feel free to email me, my email is on my page. Kellycrak88 (talk) 10:38, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- I can no longer edit the peerage page as there are other editors that are against baronage titles claiming that holders are not notable and should not be on wikipedia, including some administrators, that refer to these titles as fakes and not real, etc.
- It is not good idea to edit peerage pages at all in my opinion. Dedicated baronage pages are needed. Kellycrak88 (talk) 10:40, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, now I understand.
- Thank you so much.
- all the best

- Can you please send me history PDF for the barony you received from BH and I'll get started on the dedicated pages james@ecomfunnel.co thanks! Kellycrak88 (talk) 19:24, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

- Just personal opinion - most articles died out early through the AfC (Articles for Creation) submission process, and a direct creation would likely be "raided" by Fram. I recall that somehow David Willien (IP address) was able to retain most of the information on the Earl of Erroll article - not sure though, haven't checked lately. - Already locked horns with this today winning the battle on the Lord of Balvaird talk page Kellycrak88 (talk) 15:37, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Great to hear. Hmm, so this could be a great opportunity to bring Zettel's title back to the peerage article? Daniel Plumber (talk) 15:56, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- No, editing peerage pages is a receipt for disaster. Dedicated baronage pages needed with lots of credible references. Kellycrak88 (talk) 15:57, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Alright. Just to let you know that I'm contacting W Wombat at the moment. Not sure if he would reply or not. Daniel Plumber (talk) 16:00, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there,
I'm creating Earl of Wigtoun article and would like to know more information. Could you please provide me with Wigtoun's crown charter? Thanks. Daniel Plumber (talk) 02:00, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
