Template:Rock drum user menu
When creating pages like Template:Rock drum user menu, please use your own subpage. I have moved it to User:Rock drum/user menu. When you need to transclude it, instead of using {{Template:Rock drum user menu}} to transclude the page, please use {{User:Rock drum/user menu}}. Btilm 01:09, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for that. I'm a bit new, sorry. Again, thanks for that advice. Rock drum (talk) 16:48, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

The article Vaclav Vaca has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Steamroller Assault (talk) 07:11, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Steamroller Assault, I just wanted to ask, what would have to be done to ad notability? I have looked at the above link and I still not quite sure. Can you help, please? Thank you. Rock drum (talk·contribs) 15:53, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sure. You have to cite reliable, secondary sources to establish notability for this artist. That is, multiple mentions of the artist in newspapers, magazines or significant online sources, all of which must not affiliated with the artist. I imagine the two criteria at that link you clicked that would be the most likely route for establishing notability would be "3) ...has been the subject of...multiple independent periodical articles or reviews" and "4) ...The person's work either ... (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention". If you can find and cite multiple reliable sources that fulfill one of those criteria, then you're well on your way to establishing notability. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 18:22, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Are there enough references now? Rock drum (talk·contribs) 20:00, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Vaclav Vaca
Firstly, if it's work-related, you may have a COI, so you should be careful. Secondly, there is no minimum of references, but you need enough so it proves that he is indeed notable. If you can't find enough, then he probably isn't notable enough. fetchcomms☛ 17:57, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Questions
The userboxes, I made them myself because of formatting issues. The short code ones are ones other people have made and you can "transclude" them as templates, that is, make them appear like that code. There is a directory, WP:UBX can help you find all of them. Also, for the table, you just left out the closing bracket and pipe for the second table. fetchcomms☛ 00:37, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- I have a similar page, at User:Fetchcomms/Miscellany. That might give you some ideas for what to include. fetchcomms☛ 15:48, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

- I think that it is encyclopedic (we do allow lists) but should instead be merged into the existing article about the series itself. fetchcomms☛ 18:40, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Re: Task force article assessment
I'm happy to perform any assessments you want for the task force, but I'm afraid you're going to have to be a tad more specific. What articles need assessing? strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 21:31, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for replying. By article assesment I was talking about a quality scale just for CHERUB and Henderson's Boys articles, as there is for the Percy Jackson task force. Sorry for not giving you enough information. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 17:17, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I get that. I've kind of been doing that, but approaching from a different angle: I've been working on adding CHERUB to the WP:YA template so that the articles can be tagged first (check out User talk:Strdst grl/ubx/sandbox). When I've done that, I think it will let us auto-generate quality categories for the task force articles, but I think the quality scale will just be the same as that article's quality. You can specify task force importance, though.
- Basically, I'm happy to sort out the assessment stuff. I just need some feedback on the task force message and appearance, and then I can start making it official. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 17:29, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'd only just logged on when I got your message so hadn't seen the draft of the template but I do like it. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 17:33, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Jason white.png
Thanks for uploading File:Jason white.png. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 19:21, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Jason white.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Jason white.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 19:21, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Jason white.png
Thanks for uploading File:Jason white.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 19:21, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Re: WP:CHERUB
Haha, thanks, but I mainly fix typos. I don't know if your message was an automated thing, but as far as I know, my only edit relating to CHERUB was this. But I guess I can help, by telling you that I fixed the typo on your invite page! Happy editing, Wrelwser43 (talk) 02:05, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, the invitation was not an automated thing and I hadn't really looked at your contributions to check for CHERUB related stuff. Re: Rating
It's Start class, I've changed it for you. Just so you know, there are rating guides at WP:WikiProject Children's literature#Assessment. The guides for Stub and Start class changed quite dramatically when C class was introduced about a year ago, so there are quite a few articles wrongly rated - as a rule, most half-decent articles are at least Start class. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 16:11, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
