Hey
[edit]I just wanted to drop a line and say hello. I'm quite glad someone else seems to have noticed the Woodsball article, since I've put a lot of effort into it, and I hope that this will continue. If my plans for a WikiProject come through, I hope to have every article in the category to that quality, hopefully better. One of my plans was to create a sort of project-based image collection, basically a page with thumbnails of all the paintball images, so everyone knows the paintball images that we have here, and also so they know what we're missing. Images and video are musts in my opinion, because one just cannot illustrate, for example, how a player moves about behind a bunker while under fire without writing pages and pages on it, or how a player can become part of a bush or a tree with the right camouflage.
Also, I'm hoping that we can remove a lot of the separation between speedball and woodsball. There's all this hype about how different they are and how there's no cross-type movement going on, but in practice (and I'd imagine you've noticed this too), this barrier is much less than people usually think it to be. My woodsball team has no fewer than two divisions of speedballers in it, with about three speedballers each. Every one of them is an integral part of the team, even during woodsball games. Just because their uniforms are more flashy than the rest of ours (we're migrating from woodland BDUs to SpecOPS Ultralight) and their guns shoot ten or more RPS than ours, doesn't mean in the slightest that they shouldn't be playing on the field.
Put the glove on the other hand, though, and you can see woodsballers playing in airball tourneys. I myself have not played any, but my second best friend who is also a woodsballer is one of the team's most hardcore attendants of speedball events. In fact, he played a speedball event last Sunday. Got something around a 3:1 kill-death ratio, too. So the removal of the impractical separation between speedball and woodsball would be one of the issues I'd want the project to combat.
I've got a lot of other stuff I want to do, but I'll put that into my work for the temporary Project Page. I'm just posting it here 'cause I want to get a feel for your slant on things. Get back to me when you can. - Maximilli, 15:29, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
P.S. Sorry for putting this message out of chronological order, but the formatting got all weird when I put it beneath that welcome table.

I'd suggest to have that template link moved to the top of your talk page, as I and the others have done. That is, if you're still interested in the project. ~ Maximilli, 22:20, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Hello, Robogymnast, and Welcome to Wikipedia! |
---|
I hope you enjoy this encyclopedia, and stay with us. In case you haven't seen them already, these pages will help you understand the place. You should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~); this will turn into your username and the date. I'v redirected most of the articles on karate organisations that you created to Kazumi Tabata; they are less likely to be deleted if they are all together on one page. So if you have anything else to add about these various organizations, add it at his page. If you need help with something, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or ask me on my talk page. Again, I hope you like the place. Picaroon9288 23:54, 11 October 2006 (UTC) |

[edit]What do you think the next Wikiproject: Climbing collaboration should be? If you wouldn't mind coming up with a list of your top three choices and we'll choose them up at WP:CLIMB? Thanks. ⇒ SWATJester On Belay! 23:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Comparison of Windows and Linux
[edit]Hey, I noticed that you corrected some facts on the installation section. :-) thank you. This is an important article and we need all the eyeballs we can to keep it correct and neutral. I hope that you will continue contributing to our article, and I look forward to working with you on it. Hendrixski 02:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
new climbing article
[edit]Take a look at Horsepens 40 and [1] and see if you can't fill it out a bit? Thanks! This could be an awesome article! there's plenty of external links about it, just do a quick google search. What I would REALLY appreciate is a filling in of some of the topo for HP 40, from drtopo.com . Specifically, the most famous routes there are "eightball, millipede, mortal kombat, crisifix, brawn, man with the slow-hand, red arrow (V4), etc." Also, all of the V11's deserve a mention. ⇒ SWATJester On Belay! 03:33, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:V for Vendetta epiphany.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:V for Vendetta epiphany.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Angr 14:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:V for Vendetta epiphany.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:V for Vendetta epiphany.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 14:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of SonicMQ
[edit]The article SonicMQ has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- not clear how this product meets notability guidelines. lacks 3rd party references
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 20:13, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Crobichaud! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 12 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Kazumi Tabata - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
