[edit]Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline.
Hello, Robin Narban. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Onorem (talk) 17:20, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Ruy (talk) 17:51, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- I’m not adding any promotional material i’m trying to add myself as i’m the only famous trader and stock market trader in kurukshetra and running a trading academy AR Traders Robin Narban (talk) 18:44, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- You are promoting yourself. You shouldn't be adding yourself to any page as it's a conflict of interest, and it's not clear that you are notable according to Wikipedia's definition. Your Instagram and Facebook pages aren't reliable sources. --Onorem (talk) 18:50, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Robin Narban
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Robin Narban, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Kurukshetra, you may be blocked from editing. 2601:1C0:4401:F60:8C11:4CC3:7E71:B4CE (talk) 18:28, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- I’m the famous stock market trader and investor in kurukshetra and running an stock market trading academy AR Traders. Then why i’m not able to add myself in kurukshetra notable peoples Robin Narban (talk) 18:42, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- It is generally disadvised to edit about yourself on Wikipedia. See WP:COI. Plus, you are using Facebook as an external source, which is not a reliable source to use on Wikipedia. If you can find a reliable source (see WP:RS for guidelines and the types of sources that are allowed to be used on Wikipedia), then you can re-add your information. 2601:1C0:4401:F60:8C11:4CC3:7E71:B4CE (talk) 18:50, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- If i will use wikipedia profile page instead of facebook link. Is this permitted Robin Narban (talk) 18:53, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- No. That's just as bad. --Onorem (talk) 19:06, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- So how i can add myself. Please suggest me a way to add myself in wikipedia page. Robin Narban (talk) 19:10, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- The point is that you shouldn't add yourself. If you're notable, and reliable sources talk about you...someone else should add you. --Onorem (talk) 19:12, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for promotion or advertising, as you did at Kurukshetra. Joyous! Noise! 18:52, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
