Mark Koltko-Rivera at List of Freemasons
[edit]- Ah... I took that discription from the article on him. I will amend. thanks. Blueboar (talk) 18:18, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, from the bio article he seems to have a PHD in psychology. So I don't see the discription as being wrong. Blueboar (talk) 18:22, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- As for using the first line of the bio article... to be honest that comes across as "puffery" (over inflating the importance of the subject)... even if accurate, it is too much for the list of Freemasons. "American phychologist" is enough to identify him (so the reader will say "oh, that Mark Koltko-Rivera"). If people wish to find out more about him they can read the bio article. - On the issue of NYS law... I am not sure if NYS laws apply to Wikipedia... but, we can resolve this by saying he is an "American Doctor of Psychology and Author" to account for any writings that would not fall under "psychology".

- One other thing... Please stop reverting the article back to the version you prefer... that is known as "edit warring" and is seriously frowned on by Wikipedia (it can even get you blocked from further editing... see WP:3rr). Given that you are a relatively new editor, I will happily cut you some slack... but I suggest you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's core policies and guidelines before you go much further. Not everyone is as understanding and forgiving as I am. :>) Blueboar (talk) 18:58, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
