Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, RobertHWilson, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Zeng8r (talk) 23:34, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Edit summaries help
[edit]Thank you for your edits to Will Muschamp. Please make sure that you put an edit summary on each of your edits. They explain the purpose of your edit.
I initially reverted your edits to Muschamp's article because they appeared disruptive. Only after analyzing the situation further did I realize that there was a problem with the newer picture, and that's why you were switching back to the older one. Had you explained it in the edit summary, I'd have never reverted in the first place. —C.Fred (talk) 00:47, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Jim1138 (talk) 07:58, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Unknown copyright status on the images you have uploaded
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:CoachPaulNavy.jpg, File:CoachPaulGT.jpg, File:CoachPaulTech.jpg, File:CoachJohnsonClemson.jpg, File:CoachJohnsonatNavy.jpg, and File:CPJGT.jpg. I noticed that all of the files' description pages currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Disavian (talk) 02:37, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Unfree Images
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically Paul Johnson (American football coach), may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.Just because an image is "from the internet" and you have attributed it to wherever you found it does not make it a free image that fits Wikipedia's license requirements. Please stop adding images until you have read and understand the relevant policies. Thanks.LaMenta3 (talk) 03:31, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to upload media files with false or lacking copyright and source information, you may be blocked from editing. Please make sure you have read and understood our image use policy before making any further uploads. If you have questions, ask at the copyright question page. Fut.Perf. ☼ 07:55, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- Echoing FPaS, Disavian and others, Wikipedia can accept only public domain, Creative Commons or self-created (in all respects, starting with initial picture-taking) images. Everything else (with only narrow exceptions) is a copyright violation and cannot be uploaded to Wikipedia or any sister project. I've also reverted some changes to the Dwyer article which were unnecessarily promotional. Please take the time to understand Wikipedia's policies on image and appropriate encyclopedic content. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but you'll have to follow appropriate policies, remembering that this is a free-content publication and all material must be both neutral and equally free: no images from elsewhere on the Internet, please. Acroterion (talk) 14:56, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you upload a media file with false or missing copyright or source information, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. LaMenta3 (talk) 02:00, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
License tagging for File:GrohTech.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:GrohTech.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:06, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:NesbittJoshy.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:NesbittJoshy.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:55, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

- One last time: Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia. All images and text used on Wikipedia must have been released under a compatible license The GTAA did not release the image into the public domain or license it under the Creative Commons copyright. This is your last chance: if you upload copyrighted material to Wikipedia again, you will be blocked indefinitely. Acroterion (talk) 02:20, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Can you please explain why you added a {{PD-USGov}} tag to your latest image, when you knew it was from a commercial journalistic source? You really need a good explanation now, because otherwise it does look as if you were deliberately trying to cheat. Please respond. Fut.Perf. ☼ 07:12, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Seeing you were given a final warning already a week ago, and seeing you reacted to today's notices with userpage vandalism [1], I have followed that warning and blocked you indefinitely. If you want to request an unblock, you will probably have to promise to refrain from all image uploads and image-inserting edits, at a minimum. Fut.Perf. ☼ 08:18, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
