Removal of templates from Robert Gerald Lorge

[edit]

Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Robert Gerald Lorge, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing.
Knock it off! 32.218.32.146 (talk) 01:45, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that I am the victim of a CYBER BULLY: Whoever you really are, stop adding slanderous defamatory and libelous false information and politically slanted ad biased material and making deletions to this Wikipedia page about myself. You and the other unauthorized page vandals are the ones engaging in disruptive editing. I have updated information and removed the inaccurate and false and biased information you added or removed several times. I am of the opinion that whoever you really are, you are from the opposing political party or some other political enemy. EACH EVERY BIOGRAPHICAL FACT THAT I HAVE ADDED CAN BE VERIFIED BY THE REFERENCES I HAVE PROVIDED. YOU ARE THE ONE THAT SHOULD KNOCK IT OFF AS YOU PUT IT. I was informed of the and false and biased entries that were changed and others deleted by you or someone affiliated with you, which prompted me to update the page, take out your inaccurate and false information and put back the information you apparently disagree with. If you want to call me to discuss it, my direct number is 920-739-8080. No public person will tolerate political enemies using Wikipedia or any public forum to defame and damage their reputation. This is the correct information:

FYI: I have copied your numerous repeated unauthorized actions and IP address and date and time stamped them in the event I need to take legal action.

So I repeat: CEASE AND DESIST AND Stop the Cyber Bullying, and stop deleting entries of my biographical accomplishments and stop adding back false biased and politically slanted and irrelevant information as to my Biography and Reputation. I am, Sincerely, Attorney Robert Gerald RobertGeraldLorge (talk) 05:43, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, RobertGeraldLorge, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Editing an article about yourself; and edit warring

[edit]

RobertGeraldLorge -

Again welcome to Wikipedia. I am sorry you are encountering frustration in editing the page about yourself but you really must go and read Wikipedia's policies on conflicts of interest and editing with a neutral point of view. You should not be editing articles about yourself, particularly as a candidate for office describing your own positions. You also need to read up on what is called "edit warring", which refers to the repeated insertion of the same material, without discussion, when other editors are removing it. You need to stop edit warring because if you keep it up your editing privileges will be revoked. Please respond here so that I know you read this and have reviewed the relevant policies. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 11:14, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't notice you raising the possibility of legal action. Don't do that again. At all - really. Even the suggestion of it is enough to get your account blocked. Go read WP:NOLEGALTHREATS. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 11:27, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

About Wikipedia

[edit]

The edits of you and your meatpuppets have been reverted by numerous editors over the course of the past 7 years:

Seven years of spamming and edit warring is enough. It's time you learned something about Wikipedia policies and practices to understand why so many editors have reverted and modified your edits. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a web page. Its content must be neutral, reliably sourced by secondary sources, and not be original research. Anyone is "authorized" to edit Wikipedia; they don't need your permission, however editing an article about yourself or someone you're close to is strongly discouraged. Wikipedia articles about people are biographies, not resumes.

Editor behavior is also important. Edit warring is not allowed, nor is removal of templates, abusive language, making personal attacks, or making legal threats. Editors do not own articles, and should collaborate to produce articles.

Please read the linked articles to better understand how Wikipedia works and how editors can productively contribute to it. 32.218.45.136 (talk) 13:06, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Chillum, JohninDC and whoever 32,218,45,136 etc is: I am not a computer guru, I also never created this page over the alleged seven years of warring by what you derogatorily call meatpuppets and do not even know who they are, who that is, created the page or made changes over the past seven years. I was informed by friends that they noticed several deletions from my page, and also false information. So, I decided to mitigate the damage done by the CYBER BULLIES that did that. I did not threaten legal action, though I can see that since I am a Lawyer, that my notice that I was preserving the unauthorized defamatory and cyber bully edits in the event that I have no recourse except legal action, may have been taken as an implied threat when it was just intended to give fair notice to the cyber bully to stop deleting the entries that were at one time accurate and replacing them with the false inaccurate entries and to stop vandalizing the page. Like I said, I acted quickly to try to mitigate damages, and gave the notice not as a threat but because as a Lawyer we are required to do so, and I was unaware of the Wikipedia "legal threat" policy and apologize for that. But whoever is doing this time and again should ALSO NOT BE ALLOWED to make the deletions and insertions of false and biased information either....I do not see why they are given a free hand to do so, while I am blocked for just putting TRUTHFUL AND ACCURATE information back on that I had copied years ago when I was informed that someone had created a Wikipedia page about me.....do you not find that unfair...that the defamer still has free license to make biased changes and hide under their unidentified IP address? I would think that Wikipedia should have a policy against that, if it wants to be neutral. Therefore I request to be unblocked and I request that the original unbiased accurate entries be placed back on this page. You can call me anytime to discuss it at 920-739-8080 as I do not hide like the Cyber Bully does, who obviously is politically motivated as they keep adding back inaccurate info plugs for my past political opponents and detract from the positive and accurate entries on my page. And if there was what you call "edit warring" by whoever came to my defense and was correcting these attacks over the past seven years, whoever you are I thank you, I would do so personally but do not know who my original authors and defenders are.
With my kindest best wishes, I am,
Robert Gerald Lorge

Decline reason:

It seems you mistake Wikipedia for an extension of your campaign websites. Take for example this supposed "correction of errors". The only information you removed or modified was the statement that Kohl won the 2006 US Senate election with almost 70% of the vote, which happens to be correct. So the claim that you "corrected errors" with that edit is untrue. Rather, you removed correct but less-than-positive information and instead added positive claims based on your own website. I should not have to tell you that such a behaviour is not acceptable. I'm also concerned by "as a lawyer we are required to do so". Wikipedia offers multiple venues to challenge incorrect information; if you're considering the courts instead, as that comment still implies, you may not continue to edit due to the obvious conflict of interest. Huon (talk) 17:46, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Your words, "I have copied your numerous repeated unauthorized actions and IP address and date and time stamped them in the event I need to take legal action", qualify as a legal threat under Wikipedia rules, and is not allowed. If you want to have any hope of editing here again, you will need to recant and disavow those words. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots16:25, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(ec)This: "I have copied your numerous repeated unauthorized actions and IP address and date and time stamped them in the event I need to take legal action." is clearly meant to have a chilling effect on those who disagree with you in a content dispute. It is considered intimidation and is not acceptable. It is damaging to our goal to write in a neutral point of view. Our policy on legal threats can be found here: No legal threats.

In addition to the legal threat you also have a serious conflict of interest problem editing your own article. If you want to edit Wikipedia you need to work in areas you don't have a strong bias in. This issue is somewhat mitigated in that the article in question is likely to be deleted: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert Gerald Lorge

As an attorney you must realize that we are under no obligation to publish your version of the article. We have made a sincere effort here: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Legal_threats_by_RobertGeraldLorge to figure out what "false information" you object to based on your edits. We have not found much, please clearly specify exactly what you think is false if we have missed anything. Chillum 16:27, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
