Your recent message to User:Tae04gu

[edit]

Hello - just a quick note about your recent message to Tae04gu (which can be seen here). Firstly, please leave messages for other users on their talk page, not on their user page (Tae's would be here. Secondly, you've already been blocked for continually creating inappropriate articles. Offering to pay someone to create an article is a real no-no. Have a read of WP:SPAM, WP:N and WP:COI (some of the relevant policies) to give you an idea of why. If you're involved in a company, then you shouldn't be writing (or commissioning other to write) about it. Secondly, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not an advertising service. Finally, if the company you're involved in is notable enough to be included...leave it. One day someone will write an unbiased article about it. Any problems or questions, leave me a message on my talk page. GBT/C 18:17, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure quite what you were trying to do with this edit, but what you did was create an encyclopedia article that appears to be a user page- but it isn't a user page. If you are trying to create an advertisement, you should know that Wikipedia is not a forum for advertising, and creating advertisements will certainly lead to the blocking of your account. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:20, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You've already been blocked once for creating inappropriate pages, and are clearly ignoring the message at the top of this page. Continue like this and you will be blocked from editing. GBT/C 18:37, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, do you think I'm joking? Please stop recreating the same spam material at User:RobRoth as you have done at User:1800YellowPages. This is your final warning. GBT/C 18:42, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whats your problem? Im trying to create a legit article about a legit company. What do you want me to do? And NO, i dont think your joking, I think your picking on me and its not fair! Some of us arent Wiki pro's. Instead of bothering, show me how to go about this the right way!— Preceding unsigned comment added by RobRoth (talkcontribs)

Start by reading the policies I linked to in my message at the top of this page. Read about notability - is the company you're writing about notable enough to merit inclusion. Read about conflicts of interest - your email address (and the fact that you're offering to pay money to have someone write about the company for you) strongly suggests that you are involved in the company, and thus have a conflict of interest. Finally, read about WP:Spam - Wikipedia is not an advertising service. I'm not picking on you, but in your short time on Wikipedia you've been blocked once already, and appear to have done nothing constructive - nothing, in fact, other than trying to introduce an article which is inappropriate in the face of multiple users telling you why it's inappropriate and asking you to stop. A.) 1-800-YELLOWPAGES is notable enough, especially when it seems to be replacing 411.

B.) The article has nothing but facts which does not constitute it as spam. The article is below.

C.) My email address is yellowpagesinc@aol.com because i work for YP.com, not AT&T's 1-800-YELLOWPAGES. I am in fact a competitor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the company is notable, and you understand the notability criteria, why have you chosen not to supply the required reliable sources in any of your many versions of this article? If you do not have a personal interest in the company, why do you care so passionately about it? You should know that when you offered money for the creation of the article, you made it unlikely that you will ever be allowed to create it, because that, combined with the fact that this business seems to be your sole interest on Wikipedia, makes the idea that you do not have a conflict of interest seem extremely improbable to most other editors. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:58, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1.) I will start looking for sources, I didnt know I needed them

2.) I care passionately about it because I am loaded and bored. Also, I care about the YellowPages industry.

3.) I offered money for someone to write it because EVERYTIME I TRY TO ADD SOMETHING YOU GUYS DELETE IT. I apparently dont know how to use Wikipedia so out of frustration I am willing to pay get it done because thats what I do. I buy my way out of things!

What we need for an article

[edit]

Hey, if this will help out at all, to have an article we need non-trivial, independent reliable sources. WP:RS gives a description of what Wikipedia considers to be be a reliable source. Hope that helps. JoshuaZ (talk) 21:22, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
