If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Attorney Tim Powers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. A tag has been placed on Attorney Tim Powers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

A tag has been placed on Denton County Defense Attorney, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Denton County Defense Attorney. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 03:15, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Denton County Defense Attorney. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 03:16, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as seen in Denton County Defense Attorney, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 03:18, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please, no advertising

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a soapbox. You may not use it for promotional purposes. This is especially true when you are affiliated with a subject (and have a conflict of interest) and are attempting to write an article about the subject.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. If you are going to create an article titled Denton County Defense Attorney, it would need to be about the county position titled Defense Attorney that exists in the Denton County government. The article can't be about a single private attorney/firm that practices defense law in Denton County, and it can't be unrelated information like state laws. —C.Fred (talk) 03:26, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:02, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits at Commons, Wikipedia, and at Mediawiki are poor form, and self-interest. We can do this the nice way or the ugly way, and in that you get a choice. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:04, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am really sorry, honestly I am just trying to figure everything out and have not been able to find a lot of useful answers to the problems I have been having. Hopefully you won't be hearing from me again. I apologize that my posts were taken that way. Rll1990 (talk) 04:13, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ask. There are now people on your talk page, ask. There are also links above, and places for new articles, please look to use them. — billinghurst sDrewth 08:10, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
