Lacrosse

[edit]

"Lacrosse is USA Lacrosse, UK Lacrosse is a variation of Lacrosse and should be treated as such." Sorry I don't quite get what you mean by this comment? Ozdaren 04:43, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, what I meant was that the most standardized version of Lacrosse is the American Version mainly because it draws its roots from the same region. The sport was formed and “tuned” before it traveled out of America and into other continents. Rlk89 19:46, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Joey

[edit]
Hello, the Joey episodes you are making are stubs, please add
{{tv-stub}}
to them as you make them. Thanks! --Domthedude001 02:18, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No Problem Rlk89 02:19, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is mentioned in Friends#Running_gags already. The article isn't likely to turn in to anything more than a stub or to suffer from WP:CRUFT if all of the messages are listed on the page. Better to do something like that on a friends/joey website than an encyclopedia.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  16:43, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude I was going to construct this like the simpsons couch gag. Rlk89 16:56, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Deleted again. please do not recreate - CrazyRussian talk/email 17:14, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't delete any more without giving me a reason that gose against the previouse post. Why is it any different from the simpsons? Rlk89 17:17, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't, I will except that your are refuse to participate in discussion and recreate within the day. Rlk89 17:28, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Your message on my Talk page lacks civility but I will respond. Recreation of previously-deleted material is considered vandalism and can lead to you being blocked from editing for a period of time. You have been given the reasons for the previous deletion - obscurity and WP:CRUFT. This material is more suitable on a Friends/Joey website than an encyclopedia. The difference between the the Magnadoodle and the Simpsons couch gags are that the Simpsons quotes, parodies and satirises many notable artistic, filmic, literary and televisual references in a complex postmodern and intertextual web of meanings and cultural allusions. The Magnadoodle references achieved nothing like this nor were they intended to. As such, they are non-encyclopedic while the Simpsons couch gags are.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  00:22, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, discussion finished you are right. Rlk89 00:25, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please Stop

[edit]

Please stop creating articles whose only content is a stub tag. It is considered vandalism. - Kookykman|(t)e 19:39, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm expanding them right now, sorry "my bad". Rlk89 19:42, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Add your contributions to the article Donkey Kong (arcade game), and redirect the new articles to that. Thank you. - Kookykman|(t)e 19:44, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The DK related articles, to clarify. I have nominated the articles on Mario's Early Years! Fun with Letters and Mario's Bombs Away for speedy deletion. The given reason is: it is an article about a person, group of people, band, club, etc. that does not assert the importance or significance of the subject. - Kookykman|(t)e 19:46, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They were Games released by Nintendo. I am in the process of expanding them. Rlk89 19:50, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I know who released the games, but these articles are about either A) Clones of Donkey Kong (arcade game), which that article has a section for, or B) Non-notable Game & Watch/SNES Edutainment. The fact that these games were released by Nintendo does not make them instantly notable. - Kookykman|(t)e 19:54, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Mario's Early Years! Fun with Letters and Mario's Bombs Away deserve thare own artical, I will admit that the donkey kong ones may have to just be a section of the original articals. Rlk89 19:57, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Dude These are significan subjects and you have now grounds to state otherwize. Rlk89 23:48, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When do you intend to expand Donkey Kong 2? Note that creating empty stubs may actually discourage articles from being created because a reader at another page will not see that there is a gap that needs to be corrected. Also, remember that any empty article can be speedily deleted according to WP:CSD, so many of these articles will just have to be recreated when you go back to expand them. Why not just wait until you are going to write the article before creating an empty one? —Centrxtalk • 01:13, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll do it right now. Rlk89 01:15, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help Me

[edit]

I have a question, should stubs go before templates near the bottom of a page? Rlk89 16:07, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As a general rule, I place category templates before stubs when cross-referencing a page. Doubtless there are counter-examples of mine but I prefer stubs last. When a page is expanded the stub will disappear but the categories will remain, so this will not disturb the layout of the categories.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  19:23, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What the user did is that he saw something misplaced and decided to remove it, since you usually do not leave singatures on the userpage. But calling it vandalism is out of line, since that was not vandalism, since he was fixing a mistake by a new person. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 00:57, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
First, I never called it vandalism, except when identifying the edit which was a note for reference. The post by the IP address was intended, the revert was not. I can manage my own talk page if I need assistance I will request it. Rlk89 01:12, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Afd tag removal

[edit]

Please do not remove afd tags from articles as you did here. [2] Afd templates specifically ask you not to remove them and thus it is against Wikipedia policy to do so. If you disagree with the afd place you thoughts in the afd. Thank you.--Jersey Devil 01:25, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How is the Rocko conflict not resolved? Rlk89 01:51, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do not understand what you mean by that. The Afd is ongoing, you are welcomed to add content to the article while it is ongoing, but you can not remove that afd tag. I didn't vote on the afd nor am I going to. I am just letting you know not to do that for future reference as the template specifically asks you not to. If you think that article should be kept go to the afd page and try to convince the other people who voted delete to change their votes.--Jersey Devil 01:55, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
May I ask what you are doing with the redirects?--Jersey Devil 02:07, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You should know that it is going to be viewed as you trying to avoid the afd from deleting the page. You should have just waited until the afd was over or tried to make your case in the afd page.--Jersey Devil 02:21, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summary Usage

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. ViridaeTalk 03:36, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rocko

[edit]

There's nothing that this article could become that shouldn't start out in the Rocko main article. If there's a large demand for the creation of a new article, create it later. Sparsefarce 16:57, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thare was an artical, but it was deleted because it didn't cite sorces. I have found sorces. So please stop.Rlk89
I'm still skeptical about it being a good article. Even if it's a brilliant, well-sourced article, I don't see anything that couldn't just go in the Rocko's Modern Life article. This material does not warrant it's own article. Just add this info in the main article, and let the community judge it that way. Sparsefarce 17:02, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My O-Town Edit

[edit]

I mad the edit because it said on the Rocko's Modern Life page that O-Town was on the border of Michigan, and Canada. However, I had hastily made the edit without checking if there was a source for the Michigan/Canada info. It was not vandalism, it was just me making an edit too hastily. --BLuToRsE 04:57, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

O-Town

[edit]

Greetings! I noticed you left me a message concerning O-Town and Rocko's Modern Life. While I'm a fan of the show, I don't recall editing any articles relating to the program. I do seem to remember making a disambiguation edit (or some such) on an article referring to O-Town, but in this context it was as a nickname for Orlando, Florida. If I've erred, please feel free to undo my edits and please accept my apologies. -- SwissCelt 16:29, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah! I see the problem now. Someone had written, on O-Town (disambiguation), "O-Town is a fictional town in Michigan Rocko's Modern Life". I simply cleaned the language up, writing, "O-Town is a fictional town in the U.S. state of Michigan in the animated series, Rocko's Modern Life." I was not the one who originally stated that O-Town is in Michigan. I simply failed to correct the error. Regards. -- SwissCelt 17:04, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Rlk89. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Rockospunky.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Rlk89. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Thanks for uploading Image:RML Char FDoctor Paula Hutchison.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Marked for Deletion

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Joey and the Christmas Party, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Article is not of wikipedia quality, nor is it a topic worthy of mention in wikipedia

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Texas Patriot - Frank 08:43, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Flecko.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Flecko.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Jenna Haze Oil Orgy Blu-Ray.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Jenna Haze Oil Orgy Blu-Ray.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:39, 3 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- LAX 20:39, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have tagged Image:Jenna_Haze_Oil_Orgy_Blu-Ray.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. Fair use rationale for Image:RML Mr Smitty.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RML Mr Smitty.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. « ₣ullMetal ₣alcon » 14:15, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Doug Bags a Neematoad, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Simpsons DVDs.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Simpsons DVDs.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:02, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:RML Char Chuck and Leon.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:RML Char Chuck and Leon.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Proposed deletion of Love tester

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Love tester, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Notability?

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 06:20, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No indication of significance whatsoever.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Hello Rlk89! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 8 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
