Dates in Citations

My understanding is that the format 11/11/08 in citations is acceptable, yet I see you've gone into at least one stable GA article that had all dates in that form and changed them to the format 2008-11-11. My understanding is that that is not appropriate. If you think it is, please let me know on what basis. Many thanks.--Epeefleche (talk) 04:41, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Per WP:MOSDATE that abbreviated format is not a supported one. I convert them to the supported abbreviated ISO format of YYYY-MM-DD. You are welcome to change them to the International or American full date format if you prefer it, and it's consistent with the rest of the article. Rjwilmsi 08:10, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Biography articles

Hi. I was wondering if is was possible that you go to Category:Biography articles without living parameter, covnert to article space and run AWB to ass some yob/yod categories. AWB

Can something be done so that AWB does not read citation templates as containing date format errors when they do not? For example in the articles Ben Harvey and Dave Rubin AWB is picking up "08-11" and changing it to "2008-01-01" when the correct access date is 2007-11-08. Part of the problem is that the particular citation template, {{cite podcast}}, splits the access year off from the month and day. This is the second time these two articles have been changed by AWB. rev 5366 Exclude {{cite podcast}} from CiteTemplateDates() fixes due to nonstandard use of 'accessdate' parameter.

The user has not has their access revoked – the IPs are not admins, so can't do it. This just looks like user abuse, which should be reported to WP:ANI or similar. Rjwilmsi 15:25, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

A small fix for references

I have a small request for you. Can you please modify AWB so that " </ref" is replaced with "</ref" (Remove spaces at the end, inside references. This will help us to go one step further in Wikipedia_talk:AutoWikiBrowser/Feature_requests#Placement_of_.5B1.5D_within_punctuation. Philip Larkin

Hi, just noticed this edit where you remove the p. & pp. from the page(s) parameters on references. These are required as nopp=yes is set.
