Sarracenia

Hi there! Thanks for cleaning up pages with AWB, but please be careful with capitalization fixes, e.g. diff. The variety epithet in botany is always lowercase. It's just unfortunate that some variety and species epithets are named for their proper noun locations or people, which AWB would recognize as being incorrectly capitalized. Thanks! I didn't know about the language tags - learn something new every day. Is there something similar to the language tags that would prevent AWB from correcting a certain word? Over at Biology and sexual orientation, AWB editors have changed an author's name "Vilain" to "villain" thinking it was an incorrect spelling at least three times. If the surname is a foreign one then I think you'd have a good argument to use the appropriate language tag for it. I don't know of any other way that excludes the text from AWB typo searches, except perhaps the nowiki tags, which I think would be unsuitable here. Rjwilmsi 17:06, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Typo fixing #2

I've added an exception to my lists which I think will automatically skip articles with reference tags that I might otherwise 'fix'. Still, I think my overall error rate is about 1%, which I consider to be quite good really. Rjwilmsi 08:28, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To The Man Who Ruthlessly Corrected My Mistake

did you read any of my other articles? follow the link from my page then follow the link to uncylopedia. From there, explore the many pages I have written, and hopefully by the end you will realise that spelling isn't the most important thing in the world, and this article is funny and educating enough without the second double "s" in possesion. see, I did it again, and feel no remorse for my actions. The term "english" in pool

Please don't "correct" the spelling of "english" at Glossary of cue sports terms or anything else under Category:Cue sports or subcats thereof. Spelling at Vowel harmony

Hi,

Heads up - please check that your spelling corrections make sense. At Vowel harmony you changed "sih" to "ish" incorrectly and i reverted it. Use of AWB on Italian opera lyrics

I just noticed that some months back you used AWB on the article for La donna del lago resulting in the change of the Italian word "momento" in the title of an aria "Tanti affetti in tal momento" to the word "memento" which is decidedly incorrect. This is in fact at least the second time that AWB has made incorrect changes to this particular word. Is there anyway to exclude foreign phrases when running this?
