Hello again, I've read your second reply as well. Thanks for safeguarding the page from potential copyright issues. However, I was asked to make these alterations and additions on account of the outdated and/or incomplete information on this Wiki page and have permission to use the highlighted source material. Deviating from this style, as you did in Avery Dennison, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You put an external link in the lead. That is a big no, according to the manual of style. There's no sandbox on the page itself. You have to copy from that page to *your* sandbox. And to make sure you don't accidentally commit anymore copyright violations, make sure you follow this page.

Ok, thanks! I've placed the desired alterations in a sandbox environment as a mirror, [1] and will look into the appropriate permissions (as I am allowed to used the supposed copyright protected bits). From a look at your sandbox,

It's pretty clear you did not follow the link I sent you.
And you appear to have committed another copyvio from one look at the page history.

I suggest you insert {{Db-u1}} at the top of your sandbox, wait for it to be deleted, and try again with your sandbox changes. And make sure to read the links I send you, starting from A note such as.

I did check the links, the page had notations at the beginning and the end; it said "content copied from 1 on 30 July 2024 for purposes of testing and proposing changes to original page." so I don't understand why the text would be changed back?

Unless Avery has released the content under Creative Commons or some other liberal license, we can't accept it. Period. Even if you have permission, you gotta understand that Wikipedia itself is licensed under Creative Commons, and our readers expect it to be that way.⸺(Random)staplers 01:25, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aren't there other articles you are interested in? If you have a direct interest in Avery, you're employed there, you're paid to contribute, you have stock... you must declare it; WP:COI, or at least you must through the edit request process in the talk page, placing {{subst:ECOI}} to let others make sure you're not editing outside WP:NPOV.⸺(Random)staplers 20:29, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning. Yes, I have a direct interest, I was asked to adjust outdated information and add relevant new information. I have been transparant about that throughout, and have previously added a disclosure on my user page. I was assigned a Wiki mentor when I started this account who had let me know that this remark on my user page was needed (and sufficient) for full disclosure. *Please let me know if there is anything else I can (or should) do*. All previously made additions are objective facts with external references. There are a few more to come. For instance, the Avery Dennison Wiki page speaks, under the heading Divisions, speaks about the company's operations being organized into three business units. That is no longer factually accurate, as the company solutions and businesses are categorized into two segments: Materials Group and Solutions Group.
