Re: Jerusalem Prayer Team

[edit]

Hi Nyttend, Jerusalem Prayer Team is being managed and maintained by my company, Pathmaker Marketing LLC. I believe we do not infringe any copyright. And if ever there is that I am not aware of, please guide me through so we can have our wiki page live. Thanks much. Rjmains (talk) ts=11:04, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Mike D. Evans (journalist)

[edit]

Hi Mikaey, My company, Pathmaker Marketing LLC, is managing the website, online profiles and other social media accounts of Dr. Mike Evans. I believe we do not infringe any copyright. And if ever there is that I am not aware of, please guide me through so we can have our wiki page live. Thanks much. Rjmains (talk) ts=11:16, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You first need to read this page and this one. I'm just about to go to work for most of the day, so I've left a request for help at this page; please simply run a search for "rjmains". Thank you! Nyttend (talk) 12:16, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Let me just note quickly: when you read the page where I left a request for help, please bear in mind that editing on behalf of a client is likely to be a major problem; here at Wikipedia, we greatly discourage editing for pay. As a member of a church that sings only the Psalms, I appreciate the efforts of people who remember the injunction of Psalm 122, but I fear that you'll cast a bad name on the faith in the eyes of other Wikipedia editors if you edit for the primary purpose of promoting this organisation. It's not because it's a Christian organisation: someone doing the same kind of promotion for a Buddhist organisation would similarly run the risk of being sanctioned, because promotion (not the subject of the promotion) is the problem. Nyttend (talk) 12:26, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nyttend, Jerusalem Prayer Team has placed a copyleft notice on the page http://jerusalemprayerteam.org/AboutDrMikeEvans.asp.

Please advise how the http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Mike_Evans_(journalist) and http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jerusalem_Prayer_Team can be restored. Thanks much. Rjmains (talk) Rjmains (talk) 06:04, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in preparation for finals week in grad school, so I can't spare the time to help you directly. Please go to WP:AN, where I've placed a notice asking other people to look into the situation in depth; you can find it by searching for your username at that page. Nyttend (talk) 06:09, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Someone kindly solved the problem and restored the articles; he doesn't believe that anything more than undeletion is needed, so I guess that the issue is resolved. Feel free to ask me for help if anything else comes up. Nyttend (talk) 22:54, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nyttend, Thank you. God bless you more. Rjmains (talk) 02:41, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

[edit]
Don't edit those articles
It's strongly recommended that users avoid editing when they have a conflict of interest, because it make it very hard to remain neutral.
If you do decide to edit those articles, you should carefully read WP:BFAQ and WP:BESTCOI - they recommend that, for subjects you're closely involved with, a) do not start new articles, b) for existing articles, instead of directly editing them, make suggestions on the talk page.
Don't copy/paste text from the org websites
Even if you have permsission, that doesn't matter. The text would need to be explicitly released under a free-use licence (WP:DCM) - but even if it was, most of it wouldn't be appropriate for an Encyclopaedia. Wikipedia articles should be neutral, and based on independent reliable sources.

We strongly recommend that you avoid editing with a conflict of interest all together, and help us improve some other articles. At the least, it's best to edit other things at first - to get used to Wikipedia, and to avoid being labelled as a single-purpose account.

Best of luck with it all,  Chzz  ►  14:17, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Rjmains, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ukexpat (talk) 15:46, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Jerusalem Prayer Team.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jerusalem Prayer Team.jpg, which you've sourced to (logo). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:33, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Jerusalem Prayer Team.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jerusalem Prayer Team.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Help

[edit]

This article needs more citations.

[edit]

Do you have resources to help out? Rjmains (talk) 12:37, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's not exactly what the {{help me}} template is for... the best way to alert editors to the need for additional citations in an article is to tag it, and since Mike Evans (journalist) (which I assume is the article in question) is already labelled with {{BLP sources}}, other users already know that it needs more references.
There are a few things on Highbeam Research that not all users have access to - what parts of the article do you particularly want to find citations for? Yunshui  12:46, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of fairy tales, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American language. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Notice

The file File:Mike Evans and Benjamin Netanyahu.jpeg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
