Re: BTTF Timeline chart . . . compliments and a suggestion (oops, you got reverted!)

[edit]

Hi. Fascinated with the chart and list on which page it appears. Some things I'd like to see on the chart (which might necessitate its enlargement) to present the intricacies of BTTF in a nutshell include:

  • The names of the characters traveling along the red arrows, so the first arrow would be labeled “Einstein” and the second one “Marty”, etc. This would clarify the instance of Biff’s double-headed arrow.
  • At the point on the calendar when an alternate future is erased, it seems to me the right-pointing arrow should fade to light gray to show its invalidation. I suppose this would mean only the bottom-most arrow would stay black going out to the right. It seems to me the unaltered future of Timeline 1 would consist of a dead Doc and a missing Marty McFly, but this is erased.

Adding more arrows with more colors might complicate matters, I suppose, but the chart doesn’t reflect Doc’s arrival----Bulletin! Dynamite XI just reverted out of "existence" your chart and the "confusing" list. I suppose you’ll have to take it up with him, but I liked your version and that’s why I put together my historic edits. I just copied the old code for my own sake. ttfn

Update: compliments on the updated graphic (check Doc’s dog's name, though). Got hold of Parts 1 & 2 at Blockbuster. Couple of interesting "reality changes" without time travel: Doc (in Hilldale, 2015) starts thinking about the Old West and women, and then fails to notice the "last time departed" readout courtesy of Old Biff is Nov 12 1955. If only Doc had noticed. It's also interesting to watch that when Marty (in Hill Valley, 1955 [part 1]) decides to return early to "Lone Pine" Mall, the engine suddenly quits, and Doc starts having more problems getting the power line set up. Is fate conspiring or preventing? I suppose you might feel this way about the timeline page itself. ttfn.

Just thought I'd would mention that this episode is actually number two on the Jump The Shark list for That '70s Show under:

"Special Guest Star (Roger Daltrey) and the Rock Opera"

Of course it probably doesn't need to go in the article anyway. Evil Monkey - Hello 23:03, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why reverting?
