Information icon Hello, I'm 331dot. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Namal Rajapaksa without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Namal Rajapaksa, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. VeNeMousKAT (talk|contribs) 06:48, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from Sri Lanka.

I hereby humbly request you to change the article which appears on Wikipedia - Member of Parliament, Hon. Namal Rajapaksa. The article contains a lot of false information and is quite misleading and harms his image. Most of the information in the article has been referenced to sites or online blogs which are politically biased and / or anti Government. Eg. TamilNet, The Asian Tribune, The Colombo Telegraph, etc. Information needs to be referenced to recognized forms of print media like the Daily Mirror, Daily News, etc. if it is to be considered legit.

  • Please use the talkpage of the article located here to discuss issues with the article. The current article was the result of a fairly long debate a year ago, so please address issues raised in that discussion as well if you intend to change it. Your edits to the article so far has removed sourced information and replaced it with unsourced and biased information. Also note that Wikipedia has a number of policies and guidelines that address what kind of sources we can use for articles. Blogs are generally not to be used, whilst reliable independent sources are preferred. One of the sources you removed were from the BBC, which can hardly be called unreliable. Also note that you have been warned multiple times now, if you keep insisting on a complete rewrite of the article without discussing it first you are likely to be blocked indefinitely.
