Returning pages to the mainspace
[edit]Hello Rina343. I noticed that you recently returned two articles (Draft:Michael Belkin (ophthalmologist), Draft:Dennis Levi) to the mainspace after I moved them into the draftspace. I also noticed you concerns about why the pages were moved, per Draft talk:Michael Belkin (ophthalmologist) and Draft talk:Dennis Levi. Note that my decision to draftify the articles in question (per my role as a WP:PAGEMOVER) for the most part did not stem from notability concerns; rather, my movements are intended to guard against potential undisclosed paid editing and by extension native advertisement, both of which are against Wikipedia's policy.
Now for the pertinent details. I have returned both articles to the draftspace, effectively reverting your moves. However, it is within your right to contest my action in regards to Draft:Michael Belkin (ophthalmologist), as I do not have (despite the SPI I filed that concerns your account) definite evidence you have a conflict of interest in regards to the article. As for Draft:Dennis Levi, as an editor with a fairly clear conflict of interest (you created the article, claimed ownership of an image of the subject, etc), you may not edit the article directly and must put the article through WP:AFC in order to comply with Wikipedia's policy on conflicts of interest. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.--SamHolt6 (talk) 14:52, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
- Rina343, with regard to that image of Dennis Levi, which I see that you took two days ago, on 13 September: can you explain how you managed to get it published in this document in 2016? Anyway, if you know Levi well enough to have taken that photograph of him, you surely have a conflict of interest, and must disclose it. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:04, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi Justlettersandnumbers I will like to share the real thing, I know both of the Professors due to their reputation in the field, Levi and Belkin both worked in the field of opthalmology. I published them because of their notable work and contributions. You can explore their research articles via Google Scholar from which I only added few. There are more than 300 for both. Notability of both the researchers is purely on their academia work and publications in the notable journals and conferences. However if you thing if my writing style is not according to the Wikipedia or something is promotional, you must help to make it neutral so it can meet Wikipedia guidelines. --Rina343 (talk) 09:49, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for confirming your conflict of interest. Is either or both of them paying you in any way for promoting them here? If so, you must disclose that. Of course, neither of them needs to pay anyone to make a page about them, as they are both clearly notable. The question remains: if you took that photograph of Levi on 13 September 2018, how was it published in 2016? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:14, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi Justlettersandnumbers Why do you think they are paying me or any false claims which need to pay for publishing? You have any doubts about they notability? Yes you are right about the date of the picture. Actually I taken it from the internet and posted it here as I am not aware the correct process of copyrights of photographs & I have not selected 13 September, it was by default because the date was 13 September when I uploaded it. Now I see there should open access pictures to add here. You can delete the picture or if you can correct it in some way you should do it. --Rina343 (talk) 12:09, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Dennis Levi moved to draftspace
[edit]I've moved this back to draft space as I see no paid editor disclosure either on the talk-page or on your user page. Paid editors are strongly discouraged from editing in mainspace, and that discouragement often, as here, takes the form of wholesale reversion of their edits. Please submit the draft for review in the ordinary way and wait for an experienced reviewer to evaluate it. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:11, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
