George Bacovia
[edit]Hi, I have restarted the article on George Bacovia. I know nothing of this person and so I was only able to include basic information found via Google. I have placed it in the poet, Romanian writer, Romanian-related stubs, and people stubs categories so hopefully someone who knows more about this poet will add more. JeremyA 17:56, 28 May 2005 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Ceausescupic2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ceausescupic2.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 09:15, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Re: Please help
[edit]I am User:Rimush. I have added an anti-vandalism tool to my monobook, and since then my computer freezes whenever I try to log in to my account. Please remove the tool from my monobook, since it's a protected page and only administrators can edit it (and you were the first on the "list of administrators" thing). I don't have any real way of proving that I am User:Rimush (if you can think of a way, I'll be happy to do it), but, then again, if I'm not, deleting the tool will do him no harm, since he can just add it right back (so it's completely safe for you to do it, even if you don't believe me). Please help, I don't want my account to be lost. Thank you in advance. 89.120.193.125 18:50, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Armata Romana
Toate cele bune! --Eurocopter tigre 20:07, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Flag of Switzerland
[edit]Yes, the flag is Pantone 485, but if the flag and arms needs to be used for Internet purposes, the color needs to be CMYK 0/100/100/0 or #ff0000 according to the Swiss Government. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 13:34, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tom Christiansen (ski jumper)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Tom Christiansen (ski jumper) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Tom Christiansen (ski jumper). Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Serbo-Croatian it is!
[edit]Felicitare, dear Rimush, and thanks for pitching in on my current Language Ref Desk query. I greatly appreciate your swift and informative input, and look forward to seeing more of you on future mutual endeavors and roundabout the Wiki-environment. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 11:49, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Villach
[edit]Thanks very much for the reply. Villach sounds just what I'm looking for. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if you named the Gasthaus you have in mind on my talk page. Best wishes, --Richardrj talk email 15:32, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

My bad
[edit]= what I referred to, when phrasing my Language RD query, as "my rusty IPA. In trying to indicate the stressed syllable and not knowing the use of the colon, I innocently used an apostrophe - which if I understand you correctly (?), indicates a secondary stress. Perhaps I should go back and fix the query, which I wrote hurriedly {blush}. I want to be sure I get this right, and of course not to abuse, even inadvertently, those kind and knowledgeable folks who come to my assistance. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 12:58, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:46, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Hallo, it is she here, :) Your response made me think that maybe you wouldn't be opposed to helping me smooth and tidy the translation once I've finished? The sentence you helped me with was particularly painful, but I've struggled with others and am not very confident of being able to make the final result both correct and readable! Some of my difficulties and musings are recorded in the page history, [1], but that's only a small portion of my concerns about the translation overall. I'm about halfway through it now and moving slowly, but would you be okay with me hitting you up for help when I'm done? I know it's a long piece of text and I don't want to burden you, so feel free to say no, I won't mind, :) Thanks! Maedin\talk 12:01, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Goody, thank you! Maedin\talk 12:18, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Rimush, User:Ehrenkater has gone through and translated and polished the whole thing, following your suggestion. All done and in a fraction of the time, :) Thanks for your involvement and willingness to help. Maedin\talk 10:16, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
