Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Richardhandler. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Reliable sources

Hello. Since Richard Handler is a redirect to Richard B. Handler, a businessman, your edits did not leave any path to verification, making them inappropriate. Additionally, when adding a person to a list, it's important to include reliable sources, so that content is verifiable. Although they may be linked if they include sources (as a practical compromise) other Wikipedia articles are not usable as reliable sources themselves, because that leads to circular referencing (WP:CIRC). The article Georgia v. Randolph doesn't mention you by name, and it also doesn't support that you went to Yale. Since that is the purpose of List of Yale Law School alumni, any source should support that claim. Adding yourself or your accomplishments to Wikipedia without very solid reliable sources may be seen as a form of promotion, which is against the rules of Wikipedia. Thank you. ~~
