Hi, just dropping by for an explanation of why I reverted your edit to St Pauls, Bristol. If a page duplicates the content of anothe page, one can be set to redirect to the other--see Wikipedia:Redirect. If there are two pages on an identical topic but with different content, one should be rewritten to include all of the information, and the other set as a redirect. If you ever spot duplicate pages but don't have time to do this yourself you can add the {{merge}} tag to the top of the article or its talk page to alert others. Longest streets in London

The one mile cut-off is really a bit low. I found six extra roads in a few minutes; I bet there are dozens. I'd suggest two miles at least. It might make sense if you mean to restrict the list to central London, but you clearly don't as you added Lea Bridge Road yourself. RachelBrown 21:06, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Good points Rachel. In central London, a mile long seems quite significant (especially if you have to walk it). Rather than change the length criteria, and to match the article name, I'd rather have a cut off of the top 100 streets. As the 101st entry is added, the shortest street should be removed from the bottom. Richard Allen 21:53, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation

It's good to see that you're adding IPA pronunciation to some articles. But you don't need to surround each separate character with the IPA template - it should go round the entire word or phrase (including the brackets). Also please note that SAMPA is now deprecated, and several of us have for some time been removing it wherever we find it — see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (pronunciation) --rossb 21:13, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • The copyright holder, and
  • The copyright status

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.
