List of English monarchs

[edit]

Hello, I saw you reverted my edits to the List of English Monarchs you said in your edit summary that the reason you reverted it is because we should be using coronation portraits when available. All the images that I changed weren’t coronation portraits. I merely changed the image for a better higher quality image of just a nicer looking image. So the reason you gave for reverting makes no sense. Orson12345 (talk) 20:34, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Zandar, Zarana, and Zartan

[edit]

Hello, I was given your name by another editor I had been discussing this issue with, as they said you had "exceptional judgement and experience with regard to comics" that they had seen. In a nutshell, there is an editing war occurring with these three pages (all characters from the G.I. Joe franchise, if you don't already know), regarding biographical information that exists in some, but not all, iterations of the characters. One person is demanding that the profiles remain as they currently exist, while the other is insisting that information that only exists in one iteration should only be included in that iterations sub-section, not within the main profile section. I have offered the compromise of including information that pertains to the majority (or all) of the iterations, but neither party is willing to budge. As an uninvolved party, I would be curious to hear your opinion and whether or not you think I should bring this issue to the Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Comics or to the attention of a moderator? Unincorporated associations

[edit]

Hi

I've realised I've re-inserted equivalent material to the stuff you removed at this edit [[1]].

I think it should be in there: under the law of partnerships, which afaik is the same in all former British colonies, if the purpose of an association is profit then it is ipso facto a partnership (not an association). Partnerships are also unincorporated, but the big difference is that liability of partners is unlimited through their mutual guarantee - whereas the mere members of an association are often protected from the liabilities incurred by the committee.

This doesn't stop an association trading, even to generate a surplus, but this surplus (~profit) must not be the purpose of the association, or it ceases to be one.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks, Eteb3 (talk) 19:55, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

At Succession to the British throne, I don't think Elizabeth II is able to give her consent anymore, concerning the first six in the line. PS - I know the 'source' says "her", but I think we can allow updating the note. GoodDay (talk) 23:28, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't like the edits I'd made on List of English monarchs a couple months ago. I've tried something similar but cleaner this time, with less space taken up with reference breaks and it should look nicer. I'm trying to make it look simple and elegant like List of British monarchs and List of Scottish monarchs. What do you think? —GoldRingChip 20:13, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
